Sunday, January 26th, 2020 was our first ever "Annual Celebration." It was a single service of worship, as opposed to our normal 2 worship service schedule, for us to come together as one church body to give thanks for all that God accomplished in 2019 and to consider what might be in store for 2020.

Like the disciples of Jesus, we, too, are invited to "come and see" what God is up to in the world. Last week we explored the idea of "showing up," and this week Pastor Fox encourages us to continue to wake up, get up, and continue to be open to the life and adventure that God has for us.

As we begin the new year we are invited to consider the story of epiphany, where the Magi from the east journey to meet the Christ child. Like them, we too find ourselves on a journey through this life together.

Gifts are often hard to receive. What if someone out-gives us? What if someone gave us a great gift and we didn't give one to them? So it often is with God's grace. We feel like we don't deserve it.

All we ever think about is our sin, or the sin of other people, or how sin plays out in the world...Jesus comes to save us from sin, that's the message we put forth. But being a savior is something more than that."

The Christmas season is often filled with joy, but for many of us feel like all we want to do is cry. Our families are filled with conflict, our hearts are heavy with grief and loneliness. We want to hold onto joy, but life makes it really hard.

How often do we fall asleep at night with a sense of God's peace, or do we find ourselves tossing and turning as we consider those wrong things we've done or things we've left undone?
