Sometimes when we hear the story of Mary and Martha, we think we have to pick a side - are you Mary or a Martha? And yet, both sitting at the feet of Jesus and serving those whom Jesus loves is vital to our faith. As we breathe in God presence (Mary) we are then able to breathe out in service to the world (Martha).

Many times we think that grace can only be found in the New Testament of the Bible. Sometimes we skip right over the grace that is actually all over the Hebrew Bible! The Psalms are particularly full of grace! Martin Luther referred to the Psalms as the Spirit's summary of the whole Bible...because they reveal God's grace!
