Children are gift from God. We need to give our children to God for His care. We are broken and in sin and we need a savior as do our children. They are from God and we should give the back to Him and trust Him with them.

Good doctrine leads to good practice. Doctrine is always important.-Paul contracts our life in Christ with our prior life. The Word is very clear--we need to leave our old way of life.-We live in a time of moralism with out God or godliness.

Ecclesiastes is wisdom literature. A noble book all Christians should be familiar with on a daily basis. It is a book to encourage us in the frustrations we experience daily. We are not exempt from the challenges of this earth. -Life-. The purpose of Ecclesiastes is preventative to spare future generations the bitterness of learning through their own experiences that life is meaningless apart from God.

Christmas gives us great opportunity to speak about Jesus and share what He has done for us- purchase and accomplish redemption.-John points us to the Trinity, referring back to Genesis. John reminds us that Jesus as the Word made or was involved in making all that was made. God had a plan for our redemption--the Word became flesh.-Jesus is the 2nd person of the Trinity, giving up his position in Heaven. He did not take on the appearance of man, but became flesh just like us, but at the same time remaining fully God.-He came to his own, but they rejected Him.-Remember we worship Jesus, and the heart of worship is fulfilled every Sunday

John starts at the beginning. Jesus is God from all eternity.-John the Baptist was-is the foretold forerunner of Christ, coming a a witness for Jesus, according to the scripture.-Jesus as the light exposes all of Sin. How dark is the Darkness- Darkness is evil and it is active, but it cannot overcome the Light.

John tells us about the beginning, the light and how the Word became flesh. this is the first Christmas Story, the creation story and the gospel all rolled into one.

In today's world many are facing anxiety, where they are seeking comfort. In today's Scripture, we are not to labor for things that perish, but for that which endures -eternal life. Anything which does not have eternal value, that take us away from Christ causes us to neglect the things of God. How seriously do we take God's commands. Our pursuit of Christ is the major thing in this world. Make use of God's grace for He calls us to Himself.

What difference has the Resurrection made- What are the results of the Resurrection. The Resurrection should have a profound effect on our lives. There are many, here are a few.-1. The disciples had changed lives--sad to joyful.-2. Worship is renewed, becoming exciting, open.-3.Jesus ascends into heaven-sending the Holy Spirit.-4. Jesus the Son, sits at the right hand of God interceding for us.-5. We can now behold his glory.-6. The Spirit gives us understanding of the Word.-7.Now we can cry -Abba Father-

The Resurrection gives witness and testimony to God. God bears witness that Jesus is His Son and that He was raised for our sake. We often want to hold on to our sin, but salvation does not begin with us. We are born again in and through the power of God, We live our lives through the power of God, not by anything in us -our ability-.-Acts 17 tells us that death is not the end--a witness of the Resurrection.

the Christ should suffer and on the 3rd day rise from the dead.
