When we question God, we must exercise great care. Habakkuk questioned God and God answered him. We often want to blame God for things that are not His fault. Habakkuk asks -how long oh Lord-. He is told about the Babylonians and Habakkuk is told God can use what ever or whoever He desires

Our Future hope, we will be with Him in glory. We are encouraged to walk in the Lord. We have not obtained perfection, bu we strive for it, for Jesus has made us His own. We must remember that our citizenship is in heaven and that it is God who calls us. He gives us purpose. The God who calls, also provides -see Abraham and Moses--We are called to be like Jesus, to walk with Him and to conform to Him.

What Christ means and the nature of the Christian life. God's standard is holiness and righteousness. We must be called to excellence in the fullness of the gifts of Christ. Paul list all the things he did in the flesh. verses 4-6. Works will not purchase redemption for us for there is none righteous, no not one. What we do will always be tinted by sin. Our deeds are temporal but we still have hope. Our righteousness has to be governed by the word.

Churches can have different personalities and focus. Giving is the result of the fruit of a Church's faith. Paul rejoices over the Philippian church's giving. He takes what they give and is joyful and grateful. He can survive because he can do -all things through Christ. All that we have is God's.

Paul does not focus on his circumstances, thou he is in prison. He desires to send Epaphroditus back to the churches at Philippi. Paul calls him a leader and fellow worker in Christ. He was a fellow soldier in Christ.

WE should not withdraw from the world as some would do. Jesus prayed for us to not be taken out of the world. we are to walk in the Lord in obedience. We are to be challenged in our faith over coming the culture in which we live. God is at work-He is sovereign.

Paul is making personal remarks about people and events in his life.--He exhorts them to unity and calls them to humility. Paul tells hem he is to be poured out for them.--Paul and Timothy are shepherds of the flock.

Jesus came in humility and was humble throughout His earthly ministry. Jesus is our example. Humble yourself before God and see what He will do.

The Lord himself was a model -example- of humility. Jesus humbled himself as a servant to save us. He identifies himself with us as a man. He submitted to the Father with all humility. God exalted Jesus to the highest place. Jesus' name above all names was LORD.

WE have a very personal relationship with the Lord. Paul is in prision, and he is concerned with the Church's relationship with the Lord and with each other. Paul tells the church in 3 different ways to be united . We are to be humble, to have humility-which is difficult for fallen man.
