In this episode, Miniado and I talk about the newest addition to the Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius: Rivera. She is a conductor, and kind of a musician as well? She does both. We discuss how she fares in this meta, what she can do to bolster your team, and even lightly discuss the viability of support units as a whole. We find that support buffer type units are losing favor in the meta overall, but why is that? It's because many units who have off support abilities such as tanks, healers, sometimes even DPS units or Breakers, give MORE than the buffs of a support unit. Take for example Zeno's passive: buffs him by 200% ATK every turn. Some of the top tier buffers don't even break 170%! That being said, there is still some room for play with supports who can mitigate damage, have green mage type abilities (buff elemental resistances) or who are able to significantly buff all Stats (defensive stats can still be handy :D) Enjoy the episode!

Elena and Morgana are here! 

On this episode: our thoughts on Elena's CG limit burst followed by Morgana and Elena unit reviews.

Wilmgaard finally takes his punishment: hot sauce to the mouth!

Elena, the global exclusive CG unit, is here and she is beautiful, strong, amazing, and full of back story. But how does her plot compare to others?

She reminds us of a traditional comic book hero and we’re excited to see where FFBE takes her in the future.

Morgana is her arch nemesis... turns out she’s pretty simple, and a strong friend Elena can help you clear the LGD stage quickly.

If you can’t clear it in one turn then bring a good magic cover tank, dodge tank, and breaker and it makes the battle a simple tank and spank! Hope that helps you guys clear the runs.

Morgana, Harbinger of the Chair Meta, pushes evoke mages to new heights and it’s the damage, elemental coverage, and versatility she has. Plus she’s great against bosses with damage mitigation, such as the first few turns of the FF7 trial boss on now: the Will of the Planet.

Elena, the Warrior of the (blue) Crystal, is a hybrid DPS and the best in her class! FFBE global really loves their hybrids, especially when they’re global exclusive, and it shows in Elena. At her best, she does similar damage to Zeno which is absolutely insane. Definitely worth it if you love those hybrids, or if you need a DPS on your team.

Oh, and both units chain with some of the best chaining families.

We discuss the new character episode quests and the abilities you get for completing them. Player's choice part 2 is here! Mini and Wilm debate which is better: 10+1s or lapis summon?  Events: Global exclusive Armageddon trial coming in with some nice rewards. This one has received a lot of praise! Also, we've got another FFVII event, but the event exclusive equipment isn't so hot this time around. Finally we've got the Zack (Brunet Cloud) and Yuffie unit reviews. Both are nice mid-range damage dealing units. Zack is the more straight-forward of the two. Yuffie, on the other hand is more interesting, but comes with some drawbacks as well. On this episode we play with the format a little, splitting the show into sections.

First is the news! We discuss some issues and bugs along with some changes to the coin shop and which of players choice options are we voting for? Wilm also has somto say about those Steel Castle rates! 

In the events section, we briefly cover the events released this week as well as some key items. Chocobo Rider's Dagger isn't what it appears to be while Chocobo Reins and Silver Knight's Gauntlet are actually pretty good!

During the last section, we discuss the TMRs of Shepard and Friese as well as do a quick unit review of the knight we've all been waiting for: Sacred Shield Charlotte! She's beefy like you'd expect from a tank, but also comes with some nice chain support and an insane limit burst!

In this episode we talk about the new app version and the issues that come with it. This update brings so many new and much anticipated quality that we really need for the health of game. However, Google enforces new app compliance with 64-bit devices. Gumi has come out with this a little earlier than anticipated, so some people are affected. Hopefully you guys can get a device or another way to play!

Mini's coffee maker makes an appearance on the show. His hair attacks with a vengeance.

 The FFBE Global edition 3rd anniversary is here and so many rewards are coming our way! So many free summons, tons of chances at amazing rewards, and an exchange shop which holds 3rd Anniversary summon tickets which give you a chance for UoC tickets, 5* guaranteed tickets, Prism Moogles, and a bunch of other goodies. Take advantage of these tickets by logging in every day and using the 3rd anniversary coins to exchange for them in the exchange shop... and good luck! Mini and Wilm get a few nice pulls from their 3rd Anniversary Ticket summons so far. Hope you guys make it even better! 

Finally, Chocobo Rain comes in hot with all the elements, esper filling, and LB gauge filling. He is an amazing unit for clearing Missions. Dressy Aileen is decent, but is more difficult to use and doesn't push the meta forward. However, she is the most usable Aileen form which is a plus! "Kayaka" is an amazing unit and can be used to clear some tricky trials, scales with SPR, and chains extremely well. She can take advantage of imbuing elements on herself in order to elemental chain! This alone makes her an awesome unit. If you're pulling, good luck! Hope you guys enjoy this episode!

Your boys from the FFBE Podcast switching gears and bringing it to you in video format!

The podcast is still ongoing, we just wanted to give you guys more.

In this episode, Mini and I really just sat and brainstormed different names for the new show. After a lot of monkeying around, we settled on one right at the end of the show.  Welcome to FFBE Talk!

There was a lot of good awakenings going on this week but Mini and I really wanted to focus on the units we were most excited about. As FF8 Fanboys, we had to give a lot of time to our boy Squall. He's coming in hot with some amazing (and expensive) awakenings which allows him to do some pretty awesome damage.

We also go over the Secret of Mana event feature Flammie and a new and improved Randi. These 2 bring some greatness with them, and Randi does some bonkers level damage. Flammie brings crazy buffs, crazy mitigation, and is just an all around fantastic support. Between these 2, your party is set!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, this is now a weekly show. Expect a new episode every week going forward.

Immortal Flame Katy brings the end of an Era: finally the Katy Perry event has an end in sight! Better yet, Immortal Flame Katy has great chaining potential! Finally a half decent free unit.

Aerith and Red XIII join us as well! The newest addition of everyone’s favourite FF7. Red XIII races to the top 5 DPS currently available, and a focuses on a newer chaining family: Stardust Ray. Aerith brings literally everything a healer could want. She takes Lotus Mage Fina and Ayaka and puts them together, adds some chemical X, and creates the perfect little healer! Easily the current best healer in the game.

We also touch on a few limited time events, some new items, and some old reruns that might be worth looking into.

This week we’ve got some hot new quality of life updates, including expanded friend roster allowing you to share up to five different units, STMRs triggering unit passives, buff timer duration bubbles, and more. As far as trials go, The Scorn of the Octopus and the Teacher is live and damn, that rod is looking juicy. It is loaded with stats and is definitely a nice pickup for any players that can clear the mission. We’re also in the closing week of the Figaro Castle event, this time it’s an exploration mission giving you a chance to pick up the nice Soul Sabre. The highlight of this week: summer is around the corner. And what better way to bring in summer than the vast amounts of backstory and plot FFBE is known for. Summer Fina & Lid and Summer Folka & Citra are coming in with spicy CG Limit Burst animations, interesting and useful kits, and a standard 15k step-up. We talk about everything we like about these two new units. Who’s better in the meta? Who has the better CG movie? Find out here!
