This week, we talk a little about the Magitek Ruins – Central Area and the nice little Malboro Doll you can pick up. Along with that, some much awaited ability enhancements coming, Sephiroth’s being one of the most anticipated. Are his buffs good? Or are they too little too late with the giants Esther and Zeno already around and UoCable? This week we’re also getting a King Mog event, Figaro Castle, with a bit of a change. You can now accumulate event points and receive rewards as a result. Figaro Castle also comes with a couple new 5* units: King Edgar of Figaro and Monk Sabin of Kolts. We dive in and give our thoughts on these two units, they’re bringing some interesting new stuff with them!

We start this week’s show talking about the Dwarven Castle battle where you fight Golbez and his Shadow Dragon. This is a re-run of an old fight, so it’s not too tough. Shadow Dragon will deal lethal fixed damage to one unit every turn, so keep an eye out for that. The rewards aren’t anything special, but some players might still find Shadow Dragon scale’s +30 MAG to be useful.

Crimson Gear coming at us this week. It’s not too difficult, just remember to dodge. Sadly the War Blade is nothing special, but still a decent pickup for newer players. The main event this week is a rerun of a restocked Tower of Zot, featuring Black Mage Golbez and his archfiends. The other FFIV units also get some bonus for this round of the King Mog event. Remember to pick up those Unit of Choice and the Guaranteed 5* summon tickets. And stick around to hear us discuss the ups and downs of Black Mage Golbez and his wi-fi disrupting powers.

We start off this week by talking about our thoughts on the livestream, including the Facebook announcement regarding the last-minute changes to Esther and Sylvie. The Eggstermination event turned out to be pretty easy with a friend Esther, enjoy your Asterisk, it’s pretty good! We also touch on parameter missions and give our thoughts on some of the rewards you can get for clearing them. The main event this week is another Xenogears raid “First and Last”. You can fight Deus for points and rewards. We’re also getting three new units. We discuss Billy, the gunner priest. Maria, the goggle wielding ball of destruction. And Citan, the doctor that failed medical school.

The spring summon festival, aka summoning heaven, continues. We’ve also got some ability awakenings for Shylt, Ozetta, Kilian, and Emilia. The four stars are getting some nice buffs this round. Not to be outdone, Lulu, Yuna, Prompto, and Aranea get some nice ability enhancements of their own. The main event this week: A literal Eggstinction eggstravagaza featuring the Eggsterminator in a series of wave battles. We’re getting some nice new earth resistance gear in the form of the Tectonic set (Tectonic Crown, Tectonic Bracer, and Tectonic Vest). This boss is a little tougher than we’re used to when it comes to events, so be prepared. And finally, we give our thoughts on the last-minute changes to the new units Esther the bunny girl and Sylvie the paladin, along with our usual unit review. These ladies are eggselent.
Spring is upon us, we got the Vault of Hidden Treasures coming in, along with some free summons, spring summon tickets and a new, highly difficult trial: Scorn of the Beasts of the Dark. You know it’s going to be hard because of the double “of the” in the title. Marching right along, march on Tiamat is here. You can get some decent stuff for beating it, but don’t be too rough, Tiamat is sensitive. If Marching isn’t your thing, we’ve also got a wilderness survival guide coming in this week. It’s called “The Day the Spark was Lit”. As I’m sure you know, one of the most important things for survival is fire. We’re excited to learn how to light sparks of our own.

Last week was the week of trials. Both Wilm and Mini cleared the chamber of arms and talk a little about some of the battles, rewards, and experiences. Speaking of battles, Dark Golem and Dark Shiva are here and they are HARD. But they do come with some nice rewards if you can clear them (looking at you Shiva’s Tiara). If that’s a little too tough for you right now, we also got “Desert Despair”, the difficult battle for the Xenogears colab where you get to fight Weltall-ID. And by fight I mean you get to flick it with your finger and knock it out, this one is easy. Now that we’ve over come the trials, we can talk about the new Final Fantasy Tactics event Nelveska Temple. King Mog is sending us back to Ivalice to farm some Blue Orbs in exchange for some goodies. But I think most people are excited because we’re getting four new Final Fantasy Tactics units: Construct 8 - the adorable killing machine, Reis, the adorable and sparkly Holy Dragon, Beowulf, the Dragon fu—.. ahem, Dragon lover… AND finally High Seraph Ultima – the MP devouring, enemy murdering, head-wing having killing machine (imagine how scary she’d be if she wasn’t high). Hope you enjoy!

On this episode, we get real hyped about the latest quality of life updates including team saving and loading, buff and debuff turn counters, an extra “all” tab for units and many more! We also touch on a bit of the story so far and finally cover the much awaited and anticipated Xenogears banner. The banner comes along with a raid event called Elements’ Formation, where we get to fight a fun looking mech. Meanwhile, the banner is everything we’ve been asking for: Xenogears Limited Exchange Tickets, On-banner rainbows, and a stepup to tie it all together. And of course, a quick overview of the limited time Xenogears (including Fei, Bart, and Elly) units you can summon.

Trust Moogle friend point summon is here! But it’s a little more tedious to fuse them than it used to be. If you have a convenient way to fuse them all, please give us your secret strats! We also got a couple new trials this week, Scorn of Gilgamesh, coming in hot with Muramasa and a Select Summon Ticket. And the prophesied circley wing thing, Warden Welter, makes an appearance. Balthier got some much needed love in his ability enhancements this week. Joining him with some great enhancements are Basch and Kunshira as well. And finally, the Grandma of Hess: Yuraisha is here. She’s joined by Karlette, the wonderful red mage. We talk about both of their kits and what we think of them. Soilers: Xenogears banner confirmed for next week!
