FGC Philosophy

One chapter of my life is closing in another one is opening.  My life since the pandemic has been rough. There have been highs and lows, challenges I have taken on, and some challenges I’ve failed. This episode is a short one to clear the air on some things that have been in the works for a while now. A huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders...So let’s talk about it!

I got to go to LCS (League Championship Series) and even got a backstage tour of the arena. For those who don’t know, LCS is the USA final for the League of Legends. A while back I reached out to Riot and asked for free tickets and they obliged and even gave us a tour of the pre-game and tournament areas.

Hey all!

It's been such a busy few weeks for me in the esports world. That said I took some time to record a short episode. For a bit of backstory, I tend to avoid Facebook, but every now and then I'll respond to a post. I enjoy debating political/social topics from time to time. In this particular instance though, things went very right.

I made what I thought was a fairly tame response and somehow this person went off. After his response, I had to just record a video instead because....well you'll hear in this podcast.

I hope you enjoy!

Hello all,

The stress levels are rising, but so am I to the occasion. I'm reaching a very pivotal moment in my career. I can't share all the details but in this quick episode, I talk about what's been going on in my life. I have more episodes on the way!

Thank you all.

I'm excited to be discussing more FGC-related topics this week. Project L (Riot's upcoming fighting game) has updates that I'm excited to talk about, and Brian F put out a great video discussing frame data. I break down these videos and share my thoughts on these topics.

Thank you for your patience as I sort out my career. Things have been stressful and have taken most of my attention. That said, I've promised myself I'd keep putting out content.

Thank you all for the continued support!

Black Wallstreet Museum and Halulcaust museum in one weekend? This episode gets heavy with some social topics.

Esports summer camps are once again on the way! I'm super excited to be able to be doing it once again. I share details about the upcoming camps in this week's episode of FGC Philosophy. I also talk about my first impressions of the new Street Fighter VI gameplay. Lastly, I'll discuss my vacation coming up at the end of this week! My wife and I are headed to Texas for some much-needed R&R. When I get back I'll be prepping for summer camps and getting ready for the fall semester.

As always thank you all for your support, and if you want to keep supporting me please leave a review. Tell me what I can do better or what you like about this podcast. It really helps and will go a long way.

Hey all!

Thank you for 100 episodes! I have several topics that I discuss in this episode, most of them reflective.

I want to talk about workplace culture. This will be an introduction to the topic rather than a complete idea.

Culture can be a huge factor in the productivity of a company. With ambiguous culture, it's easier to be confused about one's duties, where they stand with the company, or where morals lie.

Show notes will be light for this episode. Still trying to get that balance I need, these longer episodes are a struggle for me to timestamp. I hate it but I'm just being honest about my situation.

Thank you all so much and I hope you enjoy the show!

Hello all!

We're back with another episode and another conversation with a guest. This episode's guest is Gatormelon, the Rocket League coach for St. Ambrose University. I met him at the previously mentioned tournament, Battle at the Barn, in Indiana. Had a very cool conversation with him at the event, and wanted to continue that conversation.

Full disclosure, some of the audio from the beginning of the conversation wasn't recoverable so the conversation kicks off with Gatormelon talking about how the Hoops game mode got him back into Rocket League.

Thank you all for your patience and enjoy the show!

The conversation starts at 3:38

This episode is purely esports talk on the collegiate level. Of course, I go on my tangents but the main topics are what’s going on at Albion College and Western Michigan University. There’s a bunch of stuff I’m getting ready for and I’m both nervous and excited. In this episode, I discuss many of those updates in the world of collegiate esports.
