While on the subject of "rethinking," we thought we would take the opportunity to talk about what it means to BE the church. I Peter 2:9-10.

After knocking out the first four chapters of John, we take a moment to look back on all that has been said in CliffNote fashion. Four chapters, one sermon, one message. John chapters 1-4.

Jesus leaves Samaria and heads back home to the Galilee where Jesus declares He is not welcome, despite large crowds and fanfare. Jesus is looking for true worshippers and grants faith to a suffering dad. John 4:43-54.

Being a follower of Jesus is more than association, it's about participation. An adulterous woman becomes a powerful witness, while the disciples debate Jesus eating habits. What will you concern yourself with? John 4:27-42.

Jesus leaves Judea because He "has to go" to Samaria. Disregarding all cultural and spiritual taboos, Jesus confronts a woman and a woman confronts Jesus. This is evangelism. John 4:1-26.
