Taking a stand for Jesus has caused the Blind Man to be cast out by his family, friends, and religion. In short, it cost him everything, but it also gave him the GIFT of SEEING JESUS. Sight is an act of faith, and not every wants to see. John 9:35-41.

Getting nowhere with the man who healed of his blindness, the religious leaders once again press the man to conform to their liking and understanding. But the blind man cannot conform to the ways of the past. Jesus had healed him and he would NEVER be the same. It is enough to be touched by Jesus. John 9:24-34

Picking up where verse 7 left off, the healed man must now explain HOW and WHO healed him. You would think this great miracle would be met with praise, but it isn't. Fear is a powerful weapon. John 9:8-23.

After a powerful exchange between Jesus and the crowd, Jesus slips off to another area to minister. His disciples see a blind man and ask Jesus the fundamental question: Why is there suffering? Jesus shows us how to deal with the "wrongs" of this world. John 9:1-7.

The conversation between Jesus and the Jews of chapter 7 & 8 reaches a climax as Jesus, once again, reveals His incarnation and identity. We can either receive Him or reject Him. John 8:46-59.

Jesus declares that our identity with God is not a matter of confession, religious heritage, or association, but rather the direct result of our response to His truth demonstrated through obedience. In other words, only those who DO the Will of God are the Sons of God, not those who merely show up for church. Yikes! John 8:37-47

For some reason, Jesus was not content with the understanding, or response, of the "Believing Jews" of verse 30. Turning to them, He makes one of the most remarkable statements in history about Truth. Truth is not knowledge, it is a person, and only He can set you FREE. John 8:31-37.

Again, Jesus turns to the crowds and draws a line in the sand concerning their fate and relationship to God. Tragically, rather than hear the words of Jesus, the people repeat their excuses. With nothing else to say, Jesus pronounces their judgment and isolation in light of their disbelief. John 8:21-30.

Picking up where John 7:52 left off, Jesus returns to the Temple the day after the Feast of Tabernacles end and proclaims Himself to be the light of the world. The religious are now going to have such a statement being made by this troublemaker and try to get Jesus convicted under Mosaic laws of testimony. John 8:12-20.
