When all is said and done (the miracles, the sermon and the simple call of grace), the response of the people is made clear. Rather than receive the gift of God, they grumble and leave. Even among Jesus' inner-twelve, the devil exists. John 6:60-71.

Jesus continues his discourse with the Jewish people about the "Bread of God." The people are liking Jesus' answers, but Jesus won't back down. But how can He when He IS the gift and means of Life? Don't settle for lesser bread. John 6:41-59.

The crowds want Life and Jesus offers Himself. He alone is the Bread of Life and all that we need for salvation and eternal security. He is the proof of God's love and will. All we need to do is receive Him and be satisfied. John 6:34-40.

After feeding 5k men and walking on water, the crowds come to Jesus still demanding signs and their own validation. It is amazing how very few people actually HEAR the Words of Jesus. John 6:22-34.

Jesus is better than Moses. Moses had to wait for dry land, but Jesus walks on the raging seas. God knows your trouble and He offers absolute peace, but will you let Him in your boat and drop the oars? John 6:15-21.

Jesus is better than Moses. He already said so in Matt 5, but now He begins to clearly demonstrate such by providing in the wilderness. Tragically, the people are like the early Israelites and care more about their agenda than His; but God is not willing that any be "lost." John 6:1-15.

What does it mean to be "created in the image of God?" What are we suppose to do with our lives? Why does nothing seem to satisfy? The answer can only be found in the person, character and work of God. Missions 101.

Everyone cares only for himself. Jesus heals a man and all people can do is complain that Jesus did not respect them or their man-made laws. Jesus has no choice but to reveal their foolishness by judging them by the very things they claim to hold dear. You either love Jesus and His Father or you don't. John 5:30-47.

Jesus is under intense scrutiny for healing a man on the Sabbath and calling God His "Father." Are the charges just or is Jesus simply being misunderstood? The implication are life or death. John 5:16-29.

Jesus leaves the Galilee and heads to Jerusalem for the big Sabbath feast. When He arrives, He seeks out a life-long invalid and asks what appears to be the weirdest question; that is, until we hear the man's answer. Not everyone wants to be made well. John 5:1-16.
