Today, we “land the plane,” so to speak, in terms of concluding this series of messages from the book of Galatians. This morning’s text is a most appropriate ending to this series. We ask of ourselves, “In what shall we boast?”

Are you familiar with a figure from church history by the name of Simeon the Stylite?

You are no doubt familiar with the old adage which goes like this: you know a tree by its fruit. Pagans and Christians alike are identified by their works or their fruit.

Permit me to ask you a disturbing question: Do your sins ever cause you to question your salvation? This text in Galatians is quite helpful and instructive to us as followers of Christ. It speaks to each of us and the war being waged within us.

The Bible employs athletic imagery to communicate important truths and ideas. In fact, Paul frequently makes use of athletic metaphors. With today’s sermon text in mind, there are three realities we must give our attention to as we run the race of our lives.

Is Jesus enough? What a haunting question. Is Jesus enough? Or, do we wrongly think we need more or something else. The purpose of the message this morning is to identify three convincing reasons why Jesus is enough.

According to this morning’s biblical text, Paul evidently divided the WHOLE world into two categories: the slaves and the free.

Do you believe in Jesus Christ? I do. And, this morning I want you to know why. I want to give you four reasons why I believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
