When people hear the message that speaks of crucifying the flesh, they are worried, frightened, even scared, yet there is no need for such a reaction. Indeed, the believer in Christ without the influence of the flesh is what the gospel envisages.

Indeed, the truth about the gospel is that every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is expected to live a crucified life, which signifies a life devoid of the power or influence of the flesh (the old man, the carnal mind, the sin-loving nature of man, etc.).

In this broadcast, we look at the blessings of this crucified life.

When the Bible speaks of the flesh in the spiritual context, it speaks of the human nature that lacks the divine influence and, therefore, cannot but love to sin. So, the flesh, which is the sin-loving nature that is resident in a person, must be dealt with if a Christian is really to manifest the nature of God.

Such transformation of an individual is at the core of the gospel. Where the flesh is not dealt with, the gospel message becomes ineffective, even to the point of becoming irrelevant.
