I've known Barry for almost the entirety of my time on Football Index and Twitter-I think many would agree with me that he's one of the funnier accounts in the community.

A lot of users have profited beyond their wildest dreams on the index, but what's the end goal? Barry and I dissect what the "numbers on screen" could actually do for our lives and how important it is to have an end goal.

Alexis Sanchez was of course on the agenda and we talked about how his next leg up or down is purely based on media & performance buzz returns.

One thing that Barry really wanted to discuss was youngsters on the index, more specifically as he described them "overpriced 16 year olds". We did so at length, and it's safe to say this Bazza rant was one for the ages.

Finally, we went through some quite funny tweets which caused a barrage of laughter- I had to re-record/edit various segments just because we couldn't get the words out! So pleas do listen all the way through, that last 20 minutes or so is quite a laugh.

We as Football index traders have waited an eternity for foreign territories and now it seems so close to reality. Gene joins me to dissect the announcement, how it could impact the index and how dividend deadlines may need reviewing due to the rollout. Will Ibrahimovic rise from the dead due to Swedish users? Or are they more interested in what happens in the premier league? Either way there was much to be discussed.

We also revisited goalkeepers which were a hot topic on the index recently, giving both pros and cons to GK's having their own category.

Finally, we talk about the vague 'analytical tools' that could help users on the index, that football index want to release themselves.

Today's French Football special featured Peter Rutzler, a freelance football journalist who covers Ligue 1. He's a contributor to 'Sports Beat' & 'i Newspaper', however he's perhaps more well known for be a panellist for Get French Football's podcast show which, shockingly enough covers French Football!

He offered some great insights including PSG's role in growing Ligue 1, whether or not Neymar is a long term thing or not, Nabil Fekir's future and much more.

I was joined by Nick from the @WGTA_FPL Podcast, an up and coming Fantasy Football podcast that has over 4000 followers on twitter. Nick had only recently joined Football Index, but his background in financial services and insights into the 'market powers' of Fantasy Football meant he gave a fresh insight into Football Index. We compared the index to fantasy football to a great extent, and it really is an enjoyable listen!

I've wanted to get Liam onto the show for a while now, in fact he was one of the first people I asked to come on board the podcast. Unfortunately we just couldn't find time in each other's schedule's to find a good time for both of us to have a chat. Now that I got him on, we talk about the value he brings to the community through his data driven articles, graphs and tables that are great for all Football Index users new and experienced alike!
