Where else to begin but the panic surrounding the recent price dips we've seen. Were they justified? The panic seemed to spread into players that weren't even involved in the Champions/Europa League draws respectively and SG tries to give his informed opinion on why this may have happened.
We saw lots of fear in the market, but also on twitter- players like Messi and Ronaldo dropped large amounts in £ terms and SG gives his advice to new traders on how to react to their first experience of a market correction. I also try to weigh in with my top tips of course! On this matter, we also discuss why traders tend to sell more when they see red and keep when they see green. This psychological phenomena is really strange, SG and I attempt to discuss why this is the case and why traders should see some of these red days at great opportunities.
SG is someone with a large portfolio and I was interested to hear what strategy he is going to implement over summer. In addition to this, I try to dig into his mentality when investing in players right now. Is it for transfer rumours or world cup? Or perhaps even for next season? We also discuss how the heavy hits he took in the previous transfer window have helped him become a better trader and what advice he would give to traders with a smaller portfolio for this turbulent period.

Liam and I kicked things off by discussing the Uefa Champions League and Europa Leagues respectively. Have they lived up to the hype? Or are we seeing inflated prices? We also dissect some of the drops we've seen from eliminated teams. Are these drops in price warranted? Or are we seeing reactionary trigger fingers....
Next up, LDN's defender thesis returns! I wanted to get Liam's take on it and whether or not he agreed with the fact backed thesis that defenders are just as likely to consistently return PB as midfielders are.
Moving on and for what seems like the 100th time we discussed spreads! They seem to be constantly talked about on twitter and they certainly polarise opinion. I wanted to get Liam's views on the instant sell spreads. Are they really protecting holders? Or are they detracting from the general liquidity of the market? Liam poses a great argument, giving Football Index's view on this as a company! It really is compelling, but there was still more discussion to be had...
Finally, we ended on a 10 minute segment discussing the one and only Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star has been in unstoppable form since the turn of the year and he shows no signs of letting up. At 33 however- should traders be concerned at his age? Or has he got a few more years at least in the tank at this level? Liam and I talk at length about that incredible goal versus Juventus and how that in itself epitomised his athleticism and current form. On the index, his price hovered at mid £5's however it suddenly exploded upward...hand in hand with his form!

I was joined by Abel to talk all things Bundesliga!
First up, we talked about Robert Lewandowski's future. Is he going to leave Bayern Munich this summer? The Munich Hierarchy certainly seem to think so- so why are there so many rumours this time around? At 29- this could be his last chance to make that blockbuster move....
Next up we talk about probably the Bundesliga's hottest prospect; Leon Bailey. Does his future lie in England? Could he indeed play in England? Abel does his best to dissect this incredibly complex situation!
The German national team isn't short of quality but perhaps the left back spot is where they are weakest. Is it really up for grabs? Or will Jonas Hector. Will Phillip Max who leads the league in assists pip him for the left full-back spot? Are premier league teams really gunning for the German youngster?
Back to the Bundesliga- what has been at the heart of Schalke's revival? Abel talks us through what effect the manager has had as well as some of the revitalised squad. But will it be stripped apart in the summer with a certain Max Meyer having six months left on his contract?
From one German youngster to an even younger one- Jann-Fiete Arp looks to be one of the brightest talents coming through in Germany. With Hamburger looking like they could go down and with 1 year left on his contract in the summer, where could he go in the summer?
Germany aren't short of young talent are they and Mahmoud Dahoud was outstanding for their u21 side in recent friendlies. I asked Abel where he saw Dahoud in a few years? Can he break into the senior team in the near future?
Moving on- we talked about English youngsters. Why are the likes of Ademola Lookman, Jadon Sancho and Reece Oxford moving to Germany? Will this trend continue? Abel talks about the gross amount of money in the premier league as well as the lack of opportunity for your average youngster. He also mentions the lack of coaching pedigree across the league when compared to the rest of Europe.
One of the most coveted talents in Europe is most certainly Timo Werner who will lead the line for Germany this coming World Cup. But will he be in the Bundesliga next season? Could he potentially be part of a domino effect when/if Lewandowski leaves this Summer? Abel discusses all of this and more.
One of the most interesting questions posed by listeners was whether or not some of the players playing in potentially relegated teams in the Bundesliga, could move on if they go down a division. Abel rattled off a list longer than your arm for everyone to check out on the Index!
The next section was all about Naby Keita and RB Leipzig. What can liverpool fans expect of him? Abel seems to think world domination...that's how highly he rates him! But perhaps more interestingly- who fills the void? Leipzig's never ending conveyor belt of talent surely must have a diamond in the rough that could step into the starting XI?! We also discuss who else could be poached from their team, namely talking about the future of one Emil Forsberg, as as well as Dayot Upamecano.
Finally we talk about Arturo Vidal. With one year left on his contract, is this the season he finally ends up in England? If he leaves- how big a part does Leon Goretzka have in filling the void?

First up with FootyindexLDN and Bonza index, we talked Triple MB and I asked the guys what their tactics were on profiting during the international break. Have they been purchasing media magnets as a short term play? Do we need to see Performance Buzz implemented during these internationals to spice things up a bit?
LDN then went on to drop some knowledge. He talked about how defenders have actually won basically the same amount of PB as midfielders. We discussed why there was this overawing perception of consensus that defenders can win PB less regularly. When we dove into it deeper the results or stats were actually very surprising!
We wrapped things up by talking about the future of FI, how they need to improve their on-boarding experience to aid customers into this very confusing and volatile market. We also talked short term add-ons which could help create a new stream of revenue for the index.

First up we talk about our respective Football Index journey’s. Why did we join the platform? Why did we believe in the model?
Next, we talk about foreign territories- what benefits they bring, but also what problems they could pose for FI. How will the time zone difference impact Canadian traders?
Financial literacy is really important particularly for the millennial generation- so how has Football Index accelerated our knowledge and literacy? How much do we owe our interest in entrepreneurship, investing and the financial world to the platform?
We also talk about regulation in foreign territories, what kind of buzz add ons FI could implement to expand the platform-and as always we talk about the future of the Index.

Stamford the rat catcher is someone who has a very strong stance on selling players. Famously dubbing 'Flippers' or 'traders' as 'flipper rats', he came under some heat from the twitter community. I asked him to come on to outline this stance, and why he has such a strong view on the matter. I also asked him to clarify a tweet which was as follows:
'Flipper rats are taking money from my pocket!'
After that, we talked through his strategy and why it suits him- which nicely led to us discussing personalised index tactics.
We also discsused the World Cup, New territorries, regulation and finally Football Index communication and PR.

What kind of host would I be if I didn't start off with A.S.P's story?! I dug into his whopping deposit of £100k over the course of 6 months starting in January 2017. What was his mentality going into this massive deposit? Where did the money come from?
Next we discuss how he deals with the stress of having that much money in the Index and whether he has any concerns on the platform's future. Mental health is something not often spoken about and 1/4 people have concerns over their general finances so I felt it was important to speak about the topic.
Finally, A.S.P's favourite topic came up: Performance Buzz scoring!

Jay & Ani are back again to drop some index knowledge on the podcast!
First up, we discuss some of the lofty prices we're seeing. Are they sustainable? Are these rises unprecedented? Neymar himself has stretched the market substantially and we discuss when some of that money will start to trickle down.
Although things are rosy at the moment, it's really important for new investors in particular to understand that we will see red days eventually! We can't always go vertically up, even though so much money is being pumped into the market at this current point in time. Jay & Ani talk me through their best tips in surviving a bear market (when the market is decreasing in overall value) and I would urge all new traders to pay attention to their advice!
Next we talked about the World Cup and it's implications on the market...but are we overestimating it? Transfers are so hyped by the media and we discuss whether or not, particularly when England are knocked out of the competition, just how relevant MB wise the World Cup will be.
Finally, as with many of my guests I talk about the future of the index and where they see it going!

On today's show, Matthew Santangelo and I start by discussing the curios case of Dries Mertens' cheap buy-out clause which stands at between €25-30 million. Does he stay at Napoli? Or are those links abroad going to continue?
Next we talk about one of the most coveted talents on the planet: Sergej Milinković-Savić. Where will he end up? Linked to Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, Manchester United and many more- could he go for a record fee this summer?
Pietro Pellegri the 16 year old sensation that has recently moved to Monaco was also on the agenda. Is he a worthwhile investment? And how good could he become? Moving on and back to Naples, we discuss Lorenzo Insigne and his future. Is he going to be the heir to Maradona? Or is he going to be tempted by big money abroad?
Now we couldn't discuss Serie A without Paulo Dybala. The 'heir to Messi' has become the Juventus talisman of late, but will his journey with the Old Lady finally be coming to an end this summer?
Matt moves on to try and pick out some hidden gems from Serie A, maybe a few of these could rocket in the future on Football Index? Cengiz Ünder was one that popped up, hes come out of nowhere and flown on the market!
Now Matt is also a stout Milan fan, but can the Milan clubs challenge for Serie A next season considering the investments coming into the clubs? Or is champions league as far as they can go for now. In Inter's case particularly it's probably more important to keep their best players and we discussed whether or not Milan Škriniar and Mauro Icardi will be at Inter Milan next season.
It really was heartache for Italian fans last year as they failed to qualify for the World Cup and considering their average age, I asked Matt who will form the nucleus for the next Italy team. There were a few interesting names mentioned and a few are definitely worth monitoring on Football Index!
Back to Juventus, Will Alex Sandro stay at Juventus past this season? After Chelsea's purchase of Emerson has that story fizzled out?
Finally we talk about the best player outside the top 6 sides in Serie A: Lucas Torreira. Now Matthew is most definitely a Torreira fan boy, but don't let his enthusiasm be misunderstood as hype- Torreira is a special player! With a low buy-out clause as well, we talk about his potential destinations.
