Fight Disciples Podcast

Lomachenko just might be the best to ever do it.  And the worrying thing is for everybody else is that he's getting better.  His performance at the weekend against Anthony Crolla was as accurate as ever but with even more spite.  It was like he was sending a message to everyone who doesn't have him as their P4P number 1.

You can be rest assured that Terence Crawford saw that and will be looking to make an even bigger statement this week!

The game for the throne is on.

'Big Tasty' Gavin Hughes returns to the FD studios as he closes the chapter on his South African MMA campaign to focus on a fresh start with Bellator, starting in Birmingham on May 4th. The legit lightweight contender is aiming on smashing his way through domestic opposition this year before going international with the Bellator cage, taking advantage of the promotion's catalogue of promised fight cards. The ultimate aim: to bring the Bellator cage to Liverpool before the year is out - and have Mo Salah and some silverware walk him out for a title shot.

3 topics for you this week.  One is good, one is bad and one is most certainly ugly. We'll let you decide which is which.

What are your thoughts on bare knuckle boxing?  We discuss the latest scraps with no gloves in today's show.

UFC236 brings us two tremendous interim title fights.

Firstly, Israel Adesanya, fresh off beating his hero Anderson Silva, takes on Kelvin Gastelum in the middleweight division and then we have Max Holloway going for greatness.  His first fight with Dustin Poirier was his UFC debut and it ended in defeat.  Can 'Blessed' gain revenge in this new weight category?

Finally, grown men watching Wrestlemania.

After  a weekend with no boxing to enjoy, we have a few crackers to get stuck into this week.

Anthony Crolla attempts to topple pound for pound great Vasyl Lomachenko on Friday night in LA.  Can the former Lightweight world champion produce a performance of a lifetime and cement his name in folklore alongside the likes of Lloyd Honeyghan.

On Saturday we turn our attention to the biggest Women's world title fight of all time.  Can Claressa Shields become undisputed middleweight world champion or will Christina Hammer have too much power.

As well as all this we bring you the latest on the WBSS
