Fight Disciples Podcast

Who'd have thought that Canelo v GGG would do more harm to the reputation of Boxing than the 'circus' that was Mayweather v McGregor.

Before Adalaide Byrd stole the show, there was an incredible contest to enjoy.

We also talk Billy Joe Saunders, Hughie Fury and Deontay Wilder v Luis Ortiz

Nick visited Tuesday's open workouts and caught up with 'Swedish Sendation' Erik Skoglund and his head coach and father ahead of Saturday's Ali Trophy fight opener against Callum Smith.

Team Skoglund were calm and relaxed despite admitting they were entering the lions den at the Echo Arena, and revealing Friday will be the first time in Erik's pro career he's been as light as 168lb super-middle tournament limit.

But they believe all the pressure to perform is on the home fighter, and come Saturday that will give the visitors an important advantage.

We've all enjoyed our summer holiday but even the best of us have to go back to work! For most what awaits after sun lounging is for certain but the politics in Boxing sometimes dictate where you must apply your trade. Hopefully today's show explains the back and forth we have had regarding Anthony Joshua's next opponent but at least now it is done. Roll on Cardiff on the 28th October!

There's a saying. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. It hurts like hell when a person that you adore lets you down, even more so when they do it multiple times. Sometimes you have to cut them loose to avoid further pain. Are we done with Jon Jones?
