Fight Disciples Podcast

Prizefighters, like so many of us, can sometimes lose control of their every day life only to find the stability they crave inside the ropes.

The last 12 months, personally for Jordan Gill, have been far from fun. But boxing provided him an opportunity at the weekend to become the captain of his own ship and boy did he take it.

We review the entire show from Belfast along with the return of ‘King’ Ryan Garcia in Texas.

As crossroads fights go this is the absolute definition.

Careers are on the line for Michael Conlan and Jordan Gill in Belfast as neither can afford to lose if they are to ever achieve world championship status.

Also, Ryan Garcia returns to the ring in Texas as Ohara Davies finally gets his showdown with Ismael Barroso.

It looked awesome on paper, but it was even better in reality as boxing well and truly delivered on Saturday in Manchester.

It's unfair to single out one performance, so we spend extended time going through the lot.

Adam Azim also showed us why he's touted as one of the most exciting prospects in world boxing as he became European champion in Wolverhampton.

Whilst over in California, Diego Pacheco showed everyone what's what on a night Kal Yafai called time on his career.

Shakur Stevenson, however, failed to shine on the same card Emanuel Navarrete narrowly managed to keep hold of his belt.

We’ve had to wait since 1999 but finally the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world will play out once again in February next year.

Fury and Usyk were in attendance for a press conference earlier today and here’s our live reaction.

Paul Craig moved down to middleweight this year and looked impressive against Andre Muniz, stopping him in the second round in London.

This weekend the Scot heads to Las Vegas to take on highly-touted grappler Brendan Allen in a fight to determine a top 10 ranking at 185.

Mick Parkin and Christian Leroy-Duncan are also on the Apex card on the same night F1 makes its debut on the Strip!

Boxing fans have been demanding deeper fight cards for ages and on Saturday night in Manchester they get their wish.

A world title fight, a European title fight and 3 British title fights all served up for our delight under the same roof. Magnificent!

Shakur Stevenson is also in action early Friday morning, attempting to become a three-weight world champion, plus Super-featherweight king Emanuel Navarrete defends his crown against Robson Conceicao.

Finally, Adam Azim aims for European glory too, so there's lots to talk about on this week’s preview.
