Washington State isn't a lost cause. Christians have just never taken the field. 🔥
On CrossPolitic 101 with the Waterboy, Gabe Rench sits down with Pastor Adam James, executive pastor of Grace City Church in Wenatchee, who recently ran for State Representative in Washington's 12th Legislative District and leads the Washington chapter of For Liberty and Justice. In 10 Washington legislative districts, conservatives lost their last competitive races by less than 4%, while more than a million self-identified Christians in the state didn't vote. Adam and Gabe talk about the church's responsibility for the decline of the culture, men's ministry and Stronger Man Nation, what For Liberty and Justice is doing to raise up godly candidates, and the big ballot issues this November: Idaho's Proposition 1, Washington's three citizen initiatives, and five Washington Supreme Court seats.

In today's episode, David explains how he misread and applied Proverbs 13:24 (KJV) -- “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people -- and why and how Jesus Christ was a stumbling block to a righteous view of law during much of his career in law and political advocacy.

Why the Prison Pulpit?
The goal for these past two years has been to remind Christians to pray for our persecuted brethren as Hebrews 13:3 clearly encourages us to do: “Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them.” Pastor Wang Yi, who is currently in prison, and the late Richard Wurmbrand have been our prison guides.

This short episode passes on what David wrote coming out of his study and prayer time this morning. It is for any who might find fear, worry, or doubt creeping into their thinking about something — anything, really. Maybe even the outcome of the upcoming elections? He see lots of that in the Tennessee part of the so-called Bible-belt right now. It is based, ironically, on the beauty of Christ underlying Romans 8:7 (KJV) “[T]he carnal mind is ENMITY AGAINST GOD: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
How should Christians interpret the difficult passages in Daniel?
In this episode, Jay Rogers lays out five basic principles for understanding Daniel’s prophetic visions.
He argues that Daniel interprets Daniel, that each vision recapitulates and expands on the earlier visions, that Daniel’s burden centers on the restoration of the temple and the coming of the Messiah, and that the fourth kingdom should be understood in relation to Rome and the first-century arrival of Christ’s kingdom.
This episode provides a framework for interpreting Daniel consistently, especially in the disputed passages of Daniel 2, 7, 9, 11, and 12.
