Will God completely destroy the earth at the end of history?
Many Christians picture the end times as God wiping creation away and replacing it with an entirely different world. But is that actually what Scripture teaches?
In Episode #10 of Top 10 Most Controversial Verses: Eschatology Edition, Josh Howard examines Revelation 21:1 and one of the biggest questions in biblical prophecy: when Scripture speaks of a “new heaven and new earth,” does it mean annihilation—or renewal?
Looking at Revelation 21 alongside 2 Peter 3, Noah’s flood, Isaiah’s prophecies, and the Bible’s larger theme of restoration, this episode explores whether God abandons creation… or redeems it.
CrossPolitic One-on-One — Show Notes: Chris Stadler
On this episode of CrossPolitic One-on-One, the Waterboy welcomes Chris Stadler, creative strategist, former University of Oregon instructor, and founder of chrisstadler.com, into the studio to talk about why most marketing fails to win hearts and minds — and how a disciplined, logical creative strategy process gives businesses, churches, and Christian institutions the tools to differentiate, build real meaning, and take the dominion mandate seriously in the marketplace.
Chris breaks down his three-step process — positioning analysis, target audience recommendation, and the creative brief — and the Waterboy explains why your marketing department should be the biggest risk-taker in your company (and why your HR department might need to be fired).

About CrossPolitic
CrossPolitic exists to put Jesus over Politics and reclaim the public square through bold, joyful, biblically grounded media. We confront the chaos discipling America and build the next generation of Christian media infrastructure. Our mission is simple: all of Christ for all of media for all of America.
Mainstream media is collapsing. Eighty-seven percent of journalists identify as progressive, and even many conservative outlets prioritize profit over principle. Meanwhile, billions of hours of digital content are discipling the world every day. CrossPolitic stands in that gap, producing courageous, entertaining, truth-filled media for households, churches, and leaders across the nation.

It has been an unsusual week. Things feel off cars, coaches got kicked out of sports games, and Bridger saw a pirate!

What does it mean to live Coram Deo? In this episode of Take Heart, Corey Wing explores the rich Reformed concept of Coram Deo—living every moment of life before the face of God. Far more than a theological phrase, Coram Deo reminds Christians that every thought, word, and action takes place in God's presence, under His authority, and for His glory. Whether at work, at home, in worship, or in private moments no one else sees, believers are called to live with joyful awareness of God's nearness and sovereignty. Discover how this forgotten truth can transform your worship, strengthen your integrity, and deepen your walk with Christ.
Your time running this business is shorter than you think. It always is. That's not a reason to panic. It's a reason to stop deferring and start building with the kind of clarity that only comes from knowing the clock is real.
“Knowledge is Power, Francis Bacon”—we’ve all heard it over and over. But what did he mean? And was he right, or did he intentionally leave important things to know out of his thinking? He’s credited with developing the scientific method, and we should be grateful for this part of his legacy, but people have speculated from the start that he was a closet atheist. He was Thomas Hobbes’s mentor, what should we make of that? Join the pugsters for another free wheeling conversation, today with David Innes, author of, Francis Bacon.
(We apologize for the poor quality of Chris’s microphone, there were “technical difficulties” as they say in the business.)

I was blessed to sit down once again with Pastor Doug Wilson in his Idaho office to discuss a variety of China-related topics, including Trump's China tactics and whether or not Doug thinks he'll ever stand on the Great Wall of China. We also spent quite a few minutes discussing his early years in Japan, which was sort of unplanned. The conversation was fascinating and fun and we only stopped because of time restraints. I have a few more questions that I had to leave for a future conversation.
Here's the link to our previous conversation back in the Fall of 2025, of which I wrote the following...
In our 30+ minute conversation, we touched on many topics including the Great Leap Forward, Mao’s Great Famine, Doug’s Submarine Adventures with a Taiwanese crew, the China Legacies of Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter, the Tiananmen Square massacre (and revival), China’s modern-day revival, C.S. Lewis’s 1946 China optimism vs. Doug’s (short-term) pessimism, Hebrews 13:3 and how to pray for the persecuted, and PrayforChina.us’s helpful strategy!

In this episode of Shadows to Substance, Pastor George Sayour explores one of the most remarkable themes in the Gospel of John: Jesus Christ as the true temple of God. Far more than a collection of miracles and teachings, John's Gospel presents Jesus as the fulfillment of the tabernacle, the temple, the sacrifices, and the entire system of Old Covenant worship. From "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us" to the empty tomb, John reveals that everything pointed to Christ. Scholars have long noted John's extensive use of temple imagery to portray Jesus as God's ultimate dwelling place among His people. Join us as we trace these connections throughout John's Gospel and discover how the shadows of the Old Testament find their substance in Jesus Christ.
