Fight Laugh Feast USA

July 23, 2019. Founders Ministry drops a documentary trailer that flashes a blurred silhouette for just over a second. Nine days later, three board members resign. Not over a scandal. Because they didn't want to be associated with questioning one woman. Four years later, court documents proved the questioning was right. An unlicensed investigation. A lead attorney wearing four hats simultaneously: advocate, editor, advisor, and opposing counsel. $1.05 million to her client. $13 million drained from the largest conservative Protestant denomination in America. This is a story about a five-phase playbook documented by economist Gary North in 1996 for taking over a conservative institution from the inside. With procedure. With moral pressure. With guilt. The SBC followed every step.

Phase one: find the moral vulnerability they can't defend. Phase two: make institutional self-defense look like complicity. Phase three: force the procedural surrender. Phase four: use the surrendered weapons. Phase five: inherit everything. Harvard. Yale. Princeton Seminary. The PCUSA. Now the SBC. Same playbook. Every time. The question isn't whether it's coming for your institution. It is. The question is whether your men will stand.

ABOUT CROSSPOLITIC

CrossPolitic exists to put Jesus over Politics and reclaim the public square through bold, joyful, biblically grounded media. We confront the chaos discipling America and build the next generation of Christian media infrastructure. Our mission is simple: all of Christ for all of media for all of America. Mainstream media is collapsing. Eighty-seven percent of journalists identify as progressive, and even many conservative outlets prioritize profit over principle. Meanwhile, billions of hours of digital content are discipling the world every day. CrossPolitic stands in that gap, producing courageous, entertaining, truth-filled media for households, churches, and leaders across the nation.

Alex Kocman examines viral Christianity—contrasting the polished but diluted message of James Talarico with the rough yet repentant testimony of Shia LaBeouf—and what it reveals about authenticity and the gospel.

Many Christians today feel overwhelmed by the chaos of the modern world. Wars, political corruption, cultural upheaval, financial uncertainty, and constant news cycles can stir deep anxiety even in mature believers.

In the first episode of Take Heart, host Cory Wing looks at what Scripture actually teaches about anxiety. Jesus commands His followers not to worry—but why? And how is that even possible in a world that often feels unstable and frightening?

Drawing from passages like Matthew 6, Philippians 4, Psalm 115, and 1 Peter 5, Cory explains how anxiety is ultimately a crisis of trust in God’s sovereignty—and how prayer, faith, and the promises of Christ bring real peace to the troubled heart.

If you’ve been wrestling with fear, uncertainty, or the weight of the world’s problems, this episode offers a biblical path to peace. Because the good news of the gospel is this: Christ has overcome the world.

New episodes of Take Heart release every Monday mornin.

Leave a question in the comments—Cory will answer one viewer/listener question in each future episode.

Welcome, Neighbor! We had a busy weekend full of theater-performances-- so let's talk about celebrity performers.  Which was the first band that John took his girlfriend (now wife) to see?  And which posters did the Peaches have on her wall?

THEN: John likes Comedian Jim Breuer, but also he's worried about him.  Jim is funny, but he might be a conspiracy nut...we're not sure. And also, he might be right about the fact that FEAR is a terrible master.

LATER: Somebody should tell Jim that The System has already been dismantled by Christ.  Hallelujah!

There is a new biopic about the founder of the Shakers entitled, The Testament of Ann Lee. If you've heard of the Shakers it is probably because of their furniture. This week the Pugs respond to a critical review of the new film in The Spectator World by Damian Thompson, entitled, Testament to Ignorance. Chris is quoted in the review because of an article he wrote on the Shakers. He has mixed feelings about them, as he explains in the show. But he suspects there is something going on with liberalism in the US and an attempt by liberals to recover their own version of American Christianity and that the biopic is part of a larger effort. Tune in to see if you agree.

There's the sort of business owner who spends more time crafting his online persona than building his actual business. He optimizes his bio, chases engagement metrics, manufactures relatability. And most of it is fake. Show without substance. Promotion without product. A brand built on air. Social media is flooded with these sorts. And the AI explosion amplifies the noise 10 times.

On the backdrop of all that noise, a person with real substance is a breath of fresh air.
