Fellowship with God in time is maintained by the Filling of the Holy Spirit. When you sin you break fellowship with God and that’s why problem-solving device number one, the rebound technique, is so critical to living the Christian way of life. You can’t live it in the power of the flesh, controlled by the sin nature. The only way to live the supernatural Christian life is with the supernatural resources of the empowerment of the filling of the Holy Spirit and the living Word of God in your soul. “The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and He will bring them to your remembrance whatever I have said unto you” (John 14:26). All teaching must be metabolized by the mentorship of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit needs to be in control for you to execute your spiritual life. When the Holy Spirit controls your life, God can use you in spite of your abilities or inabilities. The Holy Spirit makes intercessions on your behalf. “The Holy Spirit helps our infirmities for we don’t even know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Holy Spirit Himself makes intercession for us” (Rom 8:26).
