I implemented character simulation and environment simulation within Unreal Engine. Discovering and researching Unreal Engine during my time at University transformed my path and my journey as a filmmaker tremendously. Utilizing real time rendering really allowed me to streamline a big production in such a short amount of time and explore my skill set. I cant reccomend it enough. ”

“After mainly shooting music videos and a documentary, ""Panther"" was my first fictional short movie to write and direct. I would consider myself more of a storyteller. When coming up with an idea, developing plot and characters and thinking about how to deliver it to an audience, I am not really restricted on a specific form of presentation: Short story, poem or lyrics in a song. But during the process of ""Panther"" we could see a vision and a story becoming reality, that needed a lot of detailed planing beforehand. ""Panther"" would not have been possible without the enriching team that came together like puzzle pieces. Our crew formed the way the movie is now displayed to you in its final form. Like Selina Illing who developed the idea with me and co-directed the movie with focusing on the overall visual appearance, so I could concentrate on working with the actors. Samuel Benjamin Lay who's amazing work as director of photography always made the movie evolve and grow more and Christian Belz who installed a whole set of mirrors on ceiling and walls to even enable us to work in such a narrow set as the cage in the catacombs was, where the main plot of ""Panther"" takes places. We had two outstanding actors with Robert Naumann and Max Düppenbecker who worked with me over months and in an enormous amount of zoom calls on their wording and emotions and endured hours of philosophical discussions and interpretations. And of course our producer without whom we wouldn't have gone to the north sea for just shooting about 20 seconds of film time and without whom we wouldn't have even participated at this wonderful festival.

So talking about myself as a filmmaker, wasn't possible without mentioning cast and crew. And whoever wants to know more about me: Enjoy listening to the podcast.”
