I started cinema after leaving theater in Iran because of the difficulties that i was facing in the time as a leftist queer director in Iranian theater scene back in 2017, after leaving theater as a person who always had a love for cinema i was part of a film screening in Tehran where we screened works by Marker and Goddard. It was then that all my ways of expression find themselves in the language of Cinema, i felt that I'm in love with specific definition of a medium so i tried to find my own language in it, my first film was a tribute to Russian montage and after having perception on it, I waited a little longer to cook my second official film which was the first time i went for a narrative cinema, in this time i was reading and gathering notes on Torah and Judaist Theology, i wrote a trilogies of play as my BA project based on the story of Babylon in Tanakh. This trilogy was the core of later i developed to the script of my first feature which I'm currently working on, in Brussels. In 2021 after all the personal and politicall things I've been through with many of my friends I decided to leave the country, so montage all of my notes of Tanakh about The city of Babylon according a narration based on my personal life and political reading of the universe that I'm in. This was the story of Babylon: Ballad of a Fall - 2021, one week after i left Iran for Belgium the revolution Of 2022 happened and i found strange bound between my body and that geography another time, so I gathered all of my footages and notes again to finish the story of my Previous Film, in one week i edited Babylon: songs of Oblivion 2022, to be an epilogue for an episode of my life and my cinematography. In the very same weeks i was plotting to start new phase of my cinematography based on the effects that I had from B Movies and 80s sci-fi, after finishing the script with helps of another members we could start the "Interzone" cinema group which is working on the next project that I wrote and directing. A Feature project that i see it as a new start of my own cinematographic life, made possible by group of young cinematographers such as myself in Brussels, a group that works based on a collective love of cinema and care for each other. Our budget is almost non till now that we are in the beginning of post production, and this impossible became possible only by trying defining and refining the meaning of film making itself between ourselves in the "interzone" that we found in "Interzone Cinema Group".
