Along with everyone else in the Indian cinema universe, we watched  Ponniyin Selvan! This epic historical family drama and action film is a  big hit for us, despite our utter ignorance about the real history and  novel...and Tamil cinema generally. We apologize profusely for our  mispronunciation of names and for forgetting to mention the very helpful  animals that were such a delight!
