US futures are indicating a lower open as of 04:45 ET. APAC traded lower overnight, with Europe markets also opening lower in morning trading. Equity markets remain defensive after yesterday's downturn seemed to accelerate after a move back up in bond yields, despite mostly softer economic data. Attention is also on Tuesday’s Fitch downgrade of US credit after the agency put the US on Watch Negative in May.
