Despite how terrifying a situation might be and how hard we fight to believe something is happening, sometimes, the only thing that can save us is finding the courage to face one's shadow in the darkest hour.
In this episode, I'm joined by the inspiring Tara Coyote. Tara is a three-times Best-selling Author, Life Coach, the Owner of Wind Horse Sanctuary in Kauai, Hawaii, a thriver, and survivor. After being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, which ended up spreading throughout her body, multiple painful losses in her life, and being forced to sell her horse retreat center in Northern California, Tara saw, in coming back home, Kauai, not a curse, or a setback but a blessing as she was able to feel the Earth's mana and aina again, be with her animals, and heal.
Throughout our conversation, Tara talks about her physical and spiritual healing, her thoughts on being on both sides of dealing with cancer, both as a caregiver to a loved one and a patient and the role emotional support played in her recovery. We also talk about Tara's work with horses and how she uses them to help others face their own shadows and heal, grief rituals, her books, and so much more.
