What gives us true happiness is not pleasure or success, but to be in right relations with others. Scripture today teaches us how we should respond when faced with someone who has wronged us – not to be resentful or to withhold love and mercy, but to seek to reconcile so as to be free from the bondage of unforgiveness.

We are also reminded of the mercy of God who forgives our sins and does not keep an account of our failures. Our Father is always ready to forgive. Question is, do we believe in His forgiveness? Are we able to forgive ourselves?
