November 15, 2021 Angels Are One of My Top Ten Tools!
I really loved this talk by Ronald A. Rasband – The Things of My Soul. He shared 7 of his 10 things written on his soul and challenged us to find our 8,9,10.
Here are mine!
8. Grounding to the Rock of Christ and Shielding with the Armor of God strengthens and protects me.
9. Prayer is powerful and I can use it any moment of the day
10. Angels are anxious to assist me.
When I shared these with my friends, no one was surprised about the angels.

I LOVE praying and asking for angels help.

It is undeniable the experiences I have had over the years.
I even have a mini course I offer called Ask the angels they are anxious to assist you.

November 08, 2021 Miracle Sofa Story Demonstrates 1/24/50/24/1
My friend and co-author Heather is living in Jerusalem.
I love hearing about her adventures with her family there.
She recently shared an experience about how they miraculously got a sofa
and then sadly lost the sofa
and then miraculously got it back again!

November 01, 2021The Power of 1/24/50/24/1
I love to teach people that our days/weeks/lives have different levels of joy.
Life is
1% amazing…

24% pretty good

50% OK

24% not so great

1% horrible
This could be throughout 1 day, or throughout a month, or throughout a year…
This is so helpful, because when the bad things happen, I can remember, this is normal, of course 100% can’t be good. Also, when the boring normal ok things happen, I can remember this is normal too.
I was talking about this with my prayer group one morning. One of my sweet friends was experiencing something very challenging in her life – that 1% horrible so we were praying for her.
I saw in my mind as I was praying, she was having this huge temper tantrum that she was in this horrible moment, and it was like she was in a jail cell. Just having a fit!

In this episode I share what we both saw and the clarity that brought to us, each in different ways.

October 26, 2021 How a Kitchen Faucet Taught Me that Loving Myself was More Powerful than Loving My Son
Devon is living at home for awhile.

He does not enjoy the automatic faucet in the kitchen.

I got it for my birthday and I love it.

So the frustration of him messing it up (by turning it off and on with the handle) has been a challenge.

I thought I needed to love him more, but as I used it as an opportunity to love myself more, then everything shifted.

October 18, 2021A Much Better Thought than "I Don’t Know How to Do This!"
Devon moved back home this month.

I was spinning in the ideas of:
There must be a right way to do this.

I don’t want to mess it up like I did last time.

What is the right way?

How can I figure it out?
It was so stressful.

I was honestly stuck in this,

I don’t know how to do this!

energy
And it made me feel
Confused and worried.
While coaching with my friend that is when I realized I thought there was a right way to do it. Before then I was just spinning about everything.
As soon as I saw that thought – There must be a right way to do this. But in reality, there is not a right way. There are many different ways to handle this experience.
Maybe none are “right” but some are better than others and each day will bring different opportunities to try again.
Suddenly the anxiousness was gone. I decided that when I thought that, I would change it to “There is not a right way to do this.” There are many ways to do this and I will try this today.
I also spend time each morning doing my MPoWeR’s and while I am journaling I ask God, “What should I do or know today?” Then I let what that answer is be my guide. That is what I will try today and tomorrow it may look totally different and that is OK.
What is something in your life that you are trying to do “right”? Or something that you feel like I don’t know how to do this?
Try on the belief – there is no right way to do this. There are many ways. Which should I try today?

I actually loved driving a minivan and have lots of fond memories and stories...

Because we moved up into the mountain, I really needed to change to an AWD vehicle and it was hard to do something different.

September 20, 2021 7 Steps to Stop Replaying the Patterns that are Hazardous to Your Joy
I am happy to report I am mothering a high schooler differently this time.

My youngest son is 5 years younger than my middle son and as Bryson is doing high school things now, I can see so clearly how I am at least trying to do things differently this time.
I recently saw this with Bryson asking a girl to homecoming.
When Carson did this, it was such a stressful time as I tried to help him with these things. It was not fun for me at all!
So, this fall as Bryson started pondering asking a girl to homecoming, I sort of got sucked back into my old way of “helping” which was to stress out and try to help too much.
I found myself saying, “I wish you weren’t even going, this is just too much.”
Here are the steps I took to break that pattern!

1. Pause, what is this pattern and what thoughts, and emotions are behind it?
2. What do you actually want?
3. What do you need to do to create that?
4. What emotions do you need to clear to help open the path to take you there?
5. Clear the emotions
6. Choose a new thought and actions
7. Take them and give yourself grace and try again!

Tips to clear the emotions around the situation

Take a bit of time to figure out what you want and find a new thought and emotions to help you create that. Sometimes you do need to also clear the emotions around it, especially if they are strong!
The power of neutrality can be super helpful!

September 13, 20213 Steps to Absolutely Lessen the Drama of Making Choices
Somehow the beginning of the school year seems to create choice drama in our family.
Since my boys were little, I have almost always had drama around the start of the school year.
I had my boys in a variety of different schools –
Private kindergarten for Devon

Public School for a few years for the first 2

Homeschooling for half a year for one

Charter school for Carson and Bryson for years.

Devon took the CHSPE and left high school early

Then we moved and we chose a charter school for Bryson again

Then this summer Bryson struggled with deciding if he should switch to the local public high school.

Sometimes the answers were SO clear in our schooling choices.

Sometimes you don't feel like you get an answer.

Sometimes you get the answer – it is up to you.

Tool for today – when you have to make a choice –
pray about it, if the answer is clear, move forward.

If the answer is unclear, then sometimes you need to gather some more information.

pray about where to go for that information! Gather and pray again. Remember it is easy to get stuck in indecision and often when the answer stays unclear, we really just need to move forward and if it is wrong, we will quickly know.

If the answer is it is up to you, choose what you want, and move forward…
