In this week's episode we are talking about how to prepare your toddler for the arrival of a new baby sibling. Our guest to talk about this is Devon Kuntzman. Devon is the original toddler parenting coach and the founder of Transforming Toddlerhood. As a toddler expert, she is on a mission to transform the myth that toddlerhood is terrible. Devon empowers toddler parents to overcome the challenges of toddlerhood, nurture development and create confidence in their skills by being the Loving Leader & GuideTM through using positive, respectful and developmentally appropriate parenting tools. As a result, parents are able to transform their parenting, their toddler’s behavior and their overall experience of toddlerhood creating a foundation for a relationship that lasts a lifetime with their child. Devon has supported thousands of parents and caregivers across the world to transform their parenting and their toddler’s behavior. She holds a degree in psychology and child development and is an ICF certified coach. When she isn’t working with parents and toddlers, Devon can be found on her yoga mat, riding her bicycle or drinking kombucha (not all at the same time!)

In this solo episode, I am going to dive into the mission of Finding Your Village, which is to guide new parents in finding experts and resources to add to their villages.
Get the 7 Experts to have in your Parenting Village Guide for free here!
I started my Finding Your Village Podcast in 2020 — it sprouted from my passion for being a parent and connecting with other parents. There is so much information out there, and it can be really overwhelming.
I felt compelled to share topics about pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood because they are so important, and we need to be talking about them. So, I started conversations on my podcast, that grew into my online birth classes, which evolved most recently into creating self paced online courses and partnering with other providers to help even more parents.
Everyday I am fueled to do this work because, I think many of us experience an entire identity shift once we become parents, starting with our pregnancy journey.
Our screens are saturated with cute outfits, colorful plates of baby food, and Magnolia-level nurseries. But for some reason, no one highlights the significant transition you undergo while giving birth, or how much you might hate being touched by your husband after breastfeeding for 6 months straight, or how your anxiety might express itself as bitter anger, and maybe even rage. The scary thoughts, your changing body, and the spiritual stamina it takes to become a parent...no one told me about those things.
I’ve felt shame at several points in my life since having kids. Had these issues been normalized, or at least discussed — maybe I could have turned that shame into humility a little bit sooner. I am learning to have grace, and to treat the things that trigger me as clues to growth.
But this has taken time, and plenty of people in my corner to help me get to this place. I want you to have all the tools you need, too and for you to find your own village.
So I am going to share a list of 7 experts that you can include in your prenatal and postpartum village and for easy access, I also have created a PDF with this list in it that includes links to find an expert to help you.
Here is my list of 7 experts to have in your prenatal and postpartum village:

In today's episode we are discussing how to get the postpartum support that you need and deserve. My guest today is Royah Loie. She is a certified doula, childbirth educator and lactation education counsellor by day and a landing page, web and graphic designer by night. She's also the creator of Insider Mom, a resource for uplifting tips and information for modern moms. Her path to becoming a doula began after the birth of her daughter and realizing the critical need for professional care focused on maternal health. Through her work she's witnessed the interconnectedness between maternal, infant, community and environmental health. As an advocate for moms, she understands the need for greater community support for mothers; support which includes time for family, rest and healing.
