Richie Banks is an unstoppable force from long island new york who goes far and beyond for the love of skateboarding. He has created an array of DIY skateparks in Nevada, prior to that he spent years filming skateboarding videos that hold up well even in today's standards. Richie is an incredibly charismatic dude who shared hilarious stories of his experiences traveling the country and working various production jobs.
Steve Fletch is a skateboarder from Long Island who owns and operates his board brand DOA or Dead On Arrival. Steve joins us to discuss growing up and skating on Long Island, his previous and current board brands, and so much more. I had a great time learning about some of the old stories that ive heard rumors of from the source himself as well as hearing about crazy things that i'd never heard of before. Steve is a mountain of stories and insight so it was a pleasure to get to chat with him for so long. This episode is a long one so get ready beforehand.
Christopher Rutledge is a CG artist, VFX artist, Director, and much more. He's done work for Adult Swim, Run The Jewels, Cheerios, and many more clients. He's won several competitions for his artwork. I sit down and review Gino Iannucci's new video "61'st street" to see the new treat to skateboarding that is Gino's new video and Nike shoe, the "bruin react". Its fantastic to see Long Island Skate legend Gino Iannucci still killing it on the board and staying relevant through skating, his brand, and collaborations. We also watch Jamie Thomas' new part in the Zero video "Damn It All" Thomas provides that classic gnarly trick selection through the lens of a vx1000 and we couldn't be happier to see the chief still killing it. happy 2020 ya'll. After the review, we dive into some video game and anime talk before ending it.
We interview Skateboarding Amir Denis and get into filming full parts, we talk about Amir's sponsors, his modeling gigs, and his rap tracks. We watch the new Adidas skate video "Reverb" and give our commentary. After watching the Adidas video we talk a little bit about fashion and anime, then Amir ends it with a positive message for the listeners.
