Some middle school parents in the Sweet Unified School District are breathing a collective sigh of relief after a gun brought to school on Monday was recovered before it was used. In recent weeks, flu cases have been increasing in San Diego County as more people gather indoors. San Diego's largest annual event, December Nights, returns to Balboa Park this weekend.
