Jesus exchanged our old nature for His nature @ the cross. You can't have "2" natures. Our old nature, our sin nature, was crucified "in Christ" on the cross. Our new nature, or spirit nature, was resurrected with Christ...so that, "if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies, or flesh, through His Spirit who dwells in you." Romans 8:11We are new creations...under a new Law. It's the Law of Grace or the Law of the Spirit. John 14, 15 & 16 give us great insight into who Holy Spirit is & what His function is. Holy Spirit is often the forgotten member of the Trinity because, for many, He seems scary. So, we vanquish Him to a back room or hide Him behind the lights & sound of our ministries.Well, Holy Spirit isn't scary at all...He's our HELPER.Have a conversation with Holy Spirit today...let Him Comfort you...let Him turn you into "another" person! Welcome Him into your life & let Him "abide" there!

Who is “Holy Spirit”? It seems to me that we have not given Him the attention that He deserves. Why have we diminished His role, when Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I leave, I will send Him to you.” (John 16:7)Wow, Holy Spirit & His role was so vital that Jesus had to leave so that He could come. We have been called to “give light”, not reveal darkness or curse things done in the darkness.People have not rejected Jesus, they have rejected His representatives. Protecting our connection with our family should be our highest priority. They should get the "best" of us...not the "rest" of us.Covenant is the only thing that can keep free people connected.
