Hebrews 4 tells us that the promise of His rest still remains & that none of us should fall short of it, but what does that mean? I believe that the best way to describe "rest" is: it is a place of existence where God & us are no longer in opposition with one another. It is the place where He is "FOR US" & is where all things are as they should be.Not only does the promise of "rest" still remain, but Hebrews also tells us that God set "rest" aside for a day...then He called that day "TODAY"."Rest" does not mean a life without conflict; NO, we were made to conquer things! "Rest" does mean that the conflict is no longer "vertical", but is "horizontal". And what needs to be conquered is the kingdom of darkness, not our hearts.Come home today & "rest".

And that is what we are!"Before Jesus left to return to Heaven, He told His disciples that He would not leave them as orphans in the world. He then said that He would send Holy Spirit to stir up a spirit of "Son-ship" in them & every believer to come.We are not orphans, we are beloved sons & daughters. Orphans & sons have completely different life views & experiences. Why live a life of need & want as an orphan when you can live a life of fullness & contentment as a son?

Did you know that it is possible to have God's thoughts & His ways? The measure of our love for God is equal to the measure of our obedience to Him.
