What may have been missed by those who are lamenting their Hockey Team's FAILURE to bring home the Cup (solemn looks towards Flyers fans) as NHL's Playoffs Begin... don't forget we have some RACIN' to Watch, too! The Kentucky Derby Winner fresh off a "DOPING SCANDAL" did indeed show up for the Preakness in Pimloco, Maryland... won by Rombauer as he passed Medina Spirit at the end,  NO TRIPLE CROWN AGAIN THIS YEAR... oh well.  

The Islanders got by the Pens in OT in a battle of 'Who Do I Loathe More This Year?' as the Wild ALSO needed OT to score the game's ONLY GOAL to win VS Vegas... The Lightning... last year's Cup Winner... will be playing without Home-Ice Advantage this year (but winning Game 1 via a 5-4 score will help them over the hated Panthers)... While the NBA Playoffs kickoff this NEXT Weekend!

It was GREAT to see a REAL BASEBALL GAME for the first time in nearly two years (Spring Training notwithstanding)... and with the NFL Schedule announced, "THIS GUY" KNOWS where he's going and WHEN!

The Hockey REGULAR Season is OVER, so NOW it's time for the Stanley Cup Playoffs where last year's Champion Tampa Bay Lightning find themselves without Home Ice Advantage.  Did playing sooooo long last year and dealing with Injuries play Havoc on their season? Who do YOU think will win Lord Stanley this year? 

I'm going to see my Phillies play TOMORROW AND SATURDAY NIGHT... who has gone back to the Ballpark to see their teams in this time of COVID EXTENSION?

Or WAS IT? Does Albert Catch on with another team? Does YOUR TEAM need a DH/Extra Bat? Does he go back to Tony LaRussa in Chicago or back with the Cards in St Louis? Or does he just retire a bit early.... after all he IS GETTING PAID THIS YEAR...

Kevlar Prom Dress... and Angria Trask.  These ladies are cornucopias of History, Knowledge, and Games past... these WENCHES will enthrall you with all they know about the Silver and Black... hell... they've forgotten more stuff than most people know ON PURPOSE... and they STILL retain more knowledge than most here! 

Tonight we're also joined by Mr. Oren Shiri, a long time Raiders' correspondent and additionally knowledgeable fan of OUR Raiders.  If YOU have ANY questions about the draft... DCM... KPD... and AT, along with Mr. Shiri... will fill in the blanks with pertinent information YOU NEED TO KNOW.  

For example, it came out TODAY that Notre Dame Linebacker and assumed First Round Pick Jeremiah Owusu Koramoah has a heart issue, which explains his drop in the draft.  Could you see the Raiders picking ANOTHER Athlete with a heart issue? First off, they lost Leon Bender, a second round pick from UW decades ago, who died tragically before he got to training camp... and drafted First Round CB D.J. Hayden and DT Maurice Hurst, another assumed high draft pick who ended up being grabbed in the 4th round... because of a heart issue.  See? Sometimes you just gotta wait and see what happens and WHY?!?!?!

Good Day and Night everyone... We're pushing back from the table like Americans do at Thanksgiving, having gorged ourselves with stats, video, interviews, chat groups for your team, and endless nannering about how great THIS pick was... or WHY T.F. did they pick THAT guy when they could've had him in the next round (sound familiar anyone?)  

Listen... unless you have spent the last 7months immersed in a film room going over countless video from EVERY draft eligible participant for this past draft... ok Jason Dean Hunter, you're ALMOST excused as you're the closest I know... then I don't give a FLYING FOXTROT what you think about YOUR Team's draft class! Even Raiders' GM Mike Mayock put out words to that affect when speaking to the NFL Network's Pete Schrager following up on what the Raiders did the last few days... YOU TELL 'IM MIKE!!  

It usually takes at least three years to get a 'feel' for how your team did for a particular draft, so using that as a standard, we can go back to the draft of 2018 or earlier and give true draft grades.  For Raider fans (they'll be my example) only first rounder Tackle Kolten Miller (STARTER SINCE DAY ONE), OL Brandon Parker (why does he still have a job?) and Marcel Ateman (bounced around from Practice Squad to Roster these last three years) remains.... so yeah, THAT DRAFT Aside from Miller SUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKED.  

Let's talk about the Draft for YOUR TEAM... and anything else you want to .... "ASK CAPTAIN JACK"... AND ANNOUNCING OUR "MOST VALUABLE CREWMATE" for Tonight's Show... for FLAWLESS ANALYSIS... Jason Dean Hunter!! Thank you Shipmate!!

Tonight we'll be listening and watching to the show... and yes, I'll even be giving you up to date information on what's going on in Tinsel Town as the Academy Awards will be playing in the background... And hoping we won't be inundated with TOO MANY POLITICAL STATEMENTS...((sigh)).  What's the over/under on that... 10? Since I was dutifully broadcasting and only kept a cursory eye on the screen, you'll have to tell me how many of those "Holier Than Though" Speeches actually were given....

Hockey is down to its last ten games before the Playoffs, so seating strategy is in FULL SWING.  I'm still stoked about seeing how my team can improve for next year... is YOUR TEAM going to be playing past May? Baseball is nearly finishing its first month of the season, and the A's have made great strides since their beginning nose-dive... while the Yankees are a surprise out of the gate in all the wrong ways (although they took 3 of 4 in Cleveland this weekend.  The Jays/Rays met in Tampa with Toronto showing who's boss in the AL East.  

Having said all that, tonight's discussion centered on.... guess what.... FOOTBALL.  First off, our deepest condolences go out to the Davis family in Arizona and throughout the country, as we learned tonight we lost a truly good soul and dynamic supporter of Raider Nation in #36... Hero of that frigid cold Playoff game in Cleveland... "RED RIGHT 88" and THE INTERCEPTION most famous in Raiders' lore prior to Jack Squirek's in Super Bowl XVIII and after Willie Brown's in Super Bowl XI.

On a personal note, I was humbled to learn of my upcoming honor scheduled for Raider Nation Explosion II this July in Madera, California...  and I thank Mob Boss for telling me over my show... it truly was and will remain a humbling honor... and I thank YOU Raider Nation as well as M&M Productions.  Otherwise, sit back and join the Captain for tonight's show...

Tonight... there's also lots to talk about.  It was just announced that QB Justin Fields from THE Ohio State University has been dealing with Epilepsy... which will undoubtedly change a few draft boards... and move other QBs up.  This doesn't necessarily push anyone down to MY RAIDERS (or your team)... it just gets QBs off the board faster.  

So what else is going on? Well... REMEMBER that EVERY OTHER TUESDAY starting the Tuesday after the NFL Draft is "THE CAPTAIN AND WENCHES" Show... so be there for that.

Tonight we had a mixture of folks... including the INITIAL and POWERFUL call from Raider Billy Harris from RICHMOND, VIRGINIA... a friend to the show as well as to my awesome Shipmate Raidah Joe! Jared came in with the Pittsburgh Report... we heard from Matt B in Fargo (who insisted he wasn't where they picked up the two blonde 'Ho's' in the Movie Fargo (yeah, it wasn't IN Fargo but Brainerd.... but that defeats the Joke!!).  Lots of comments too... from the regular cast of characters... as we heard via comment from Al Zaffiri from Edge of Philly Sports... as well as THE RAIDER REV(erand).... Bishop-Elect A.J. Breahaut in Vegas.
