The encouraging word from Habakkuk, the Prophet, is that the bumps don't need to be seen as "anomalies" in life or as obstacles. They can be seen as "opportunities." The Bumps Are What We Climb On. We gain more height in life by using the "bumps" as handholds and footholds.
