In our finale message from the series titled, "The Counselor", Robert discusses a topic that many people struggle with, yet is rarely discussed in church. Doubt can cause some to really question their faith and others to totally abandon it. However, there is hope to overcome as long as we remain faithful and continue to put our trust in Christ.

Discouragement cannot be avoided altogether. Even the great prophet, Elijah, became discouraged and prayed to die. Discouragement is real--and it can be deadly.

In this message we will encounter a paralyzed man as he encounters the Powerful Lord. After 38 years with disability he just accepted that discouragement was a way of life. Moments of hope would pop up at the pool, but just as soon as hope bubbled up, circumstances popped the bubbles.

In this sermon Pastor Jack addresses discouragement, but provides a way to find hope through Christ.

We believe in many things, but why is it so hard to believe in the work of Jesus? In this message Pastor Andrew explores this question by examining the story of the two blind that Jesus asked, "Do you believe I can heal you?"

Jesus was asleep in the stern (the back of the boat for you non-sailors). The disciples found Him sleeping in the midst of certain calamity and cried, "Don't you care?" Well, Jesus does care and He calmed the storm, but He also did some surgery on the disciples' hard hearts. With the skill of a surgeon He cut deep into their spirits with a question, "Why are you fearful?" (Mk. 4:35-41).

This is the first message in our series title "The Counselor" where we examine questions that Jesus asked, which pointed to deeper issues that exist within our hearts.

Jesus wants to "undo" the apathy in our lives, the hollow worship of our lives, and the hypocrisy we often display. Jesus wants to "undo" every bad attitude and habit. He can, and He will.

In this message Pastor Jack examines, "Regret." This is an inescapable condition of human life to one degree or others; some experience more, some less.

Apathy is a killer. It kills more marriages than adultery. It kills more businesses than economic downturns; and it kills churches by the thousands every year--all because people just don't care!

Passion is the power that drives the engine of purpose in life.

In this message Pastor Jack examines how Jesus can "Undo" the apathy in our lives and turn us into "victors and conquerors."

Service will cost you something—it may cost you a lot. Most people will never come anywhere close to the spirit of service that was exemplified by Jesus Christ. The great tragedy is: most people won’t even make a “good faith effort” to be like Christ in regard to service.

That's the theme of Part 3: Church Membership Matters. Service Matters.

Every believer has an equal responsibility to work toward the growth of the local church--every believer, not just those we call "staff." Certainly, the leadership has responsibilities, but so does every church member. The old proverb says, "Many hands make light work."

That could be motified to, "Many hands make EFFECTIVE work." The church is a body and every member is integral to the healthy functioning of that body.

In this message, Pastor Jack examines the issue, "Church Matters", but more specific, "Responsibility Matters."
