It has been said that the only thing that will be rewarded at the Judgment Seat of Christ is:

1. That which was motivated by God’s love.

2. That which was empowered by God’s

Spirit.

3. That which was done only for God’s glory.

In Philippians 2:5-11 the Apostle Paul outlines the Christian’s example, being none other than the Lord Jesus Christ. However, he carries along this glorious truth and presents example of a great Christian. Paul praised his fellow-worker, and after thinking about Christ’s servanthood, he remembered that he lived with a servant, Timothy, who had the same disposition. Paul saw Timothy as a valued servant in the context of the ministry the Lord had entrusted to him.

Psalm 24 - A Psalm of David.

1The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein. 2For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters. 3Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place?

After giving us the “Roll Call of Heroes” in Hebrews 11, the writer moves to a personal challenge for our lives. This is likened unto the “Race of Life or of Faith.” Race began at salvation, continues today in sanctification, and one day will end in glorification.

“Elijah” – His name means “Whose God is Jehovah” or “the Lord is God.” His ministry corresponded to his name. He was sent by God to confront Baalism and to declare to Israel that the Lord was God and there was no other.

Just as the mirrors in our home hangs from nails, God’s mirror, the bible must hang on something as well. We know that all the commandments are actually summarized in two. Jesus said “Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind.” “Love your neighbor as yourself.” On these two commandments hangs all the laws and prophets. Before we can love others we have to love the Lord God with all our mind, soul and spirit. Before we can love others we must love ourselves.

We must take a look in the mirror. We have hurt from the past that causes hate for today, and creates the habits that will shape the future. One of the greatest plagues of our lives is Identity Theft. There are forces in this world, people in this world that want to steal your reputation, your joy, your money, your mate, your future, and even your spiritual identity.

Psalm 126:5-6

Those who sow in tears

Shall reap in joy.

He who continually goes forth weeping,

Bearing seed for sowing,

Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,

Bringing his sheaves with him.
