Just before going to the cross Jesus shared with his followers that His soul was troubled. Jesus used the opportunity to teach the proper way to handle our circumstances and view our troubles. He revealed two different perspectives, illustrated it with two different pictures which result in two different promises. In light of Jesus teaching we are taught to reflect His glory in our circumstance rather than asking for Him to rescue us.

Many are unable to live the abundant life that Jesus offers because of the weight of heavy burdens on their shoulders. Beyond the burden of worry (covered last week) some are burdened by their attempt to be "good enough" for God. In this message, Pastor Jamie helps us to identify that burden and deal with it by confirming the promises of God's word. This message offers the promises of Christ to relieve the burdens we carry and help us on toward an abundant life.

Worry and anxiety rob many from the abundant life that Jesus offers and believers are not exempt. Worries over the needs of today and the uncertainty of tomorrow harass many. In this message, Pastor Jamie describes the difference between concern and anxiety, shares practical reasons to trust God, and reveals the solution for worry in Jesus Christ

We can easily find ourselves pursuing the things of the world in an attempt to bring satisfaction to our lives but the Bible reminds us that this world dissapoints and was never intended to satisfy us completely. In this message, Pastor Jamie reminds us that there is hope for the discouraged soul.

Using Jesus' word picture of the Shepherd and the Sheep we see that abundant life does exist and is offered to all who will receive it through a personal faith relationship with Jesus Christ.

Joshua could move forward into battle with faith because of God's previous promise to him in which God guaranteed the victory. Because Joshua knew God's will, he was not afraid to expect God to do the impossible. If you're praying in God's will, pray as big as you can! Don't let your big issue shrink your view of the abilities of God.

We all experience dissapoints or defeats at different times throughout our lives. Joshua teaches us the appropriate ways to handle the issue in faith. Joshua learns that God takes sin very seriously in the lives of His people.
