Founded in Washington, D.C., in 2001, the event forces creativity on the fly, with filmmakers turning around a finished product in the allotted two days. That process wrapped in September. Now, participants — and audiences — are rewarded with a chance to see the films on the big screen next week at WJCT Studios, with an awards ceremony to follow Oct. 22. We get a sneak preview of the cinematic celebration ahead.
