Short and sweet worship today! Don’t be a Balak this Christmas  (Or a Griswold after getting a jelly of the month club reward! Ha! Ha!) Even though we have acted like Balak, the birth of Christ reveals a merciful God to our actions. Find a way to display and talk about the mercy of Jesus today! Merry Christmas!

Happy final Sunday of Advent! Enjoy your week before Christmas Eve! Like Joseph, you are liable to be surprised by a variety of issues over the holidays and the coming year.  Take them for what they are that in spite of our sin, our God is near, and he does not share power! Have a blessed day!

Don’t give up Christians who are down: Your God is coming, and with His reward he will save (Isaiah 35:3-4!)To those who are on the opposite end and have good stuff coming or has already happened, remember why! “He has shown strength with His Arm”- Luke 1:51. Jesus shines brighter….

Today was a great day!!! So thankful for the positive report of grace and respect at Annual Conference yesterday, and the worship and Word that followed. Folks, Christ is coming! May he find us hospitable, and with faith in Him, no matter the cost. A special word on the end of service hymn. “Fairest Lord Jesus” still slaps! I had to stop at the end and listen to the church sing “Glory and honor, 
praise, adoration, 
now and forevermore be thine.”

The personal and community responsibilities of Christians are tall orders. Thanks be to God we have a Lord and King who changes us with His Word “from glory to glory”. Change isn’t a burden, it’s grace, with only one administrator! May Christ find us being responsible by being as graceful to others as He is towards us!
