One of the toughest questions submitted is this: "I wonder: how should I understand and think about Roman Catholicism? What are similarities and differences between Catholics and Protestants? How can we have a respectful conversation about this? How can I engage and reach out to my Catholic friend or family member?" These questions force all of us to examine what we really believe from God's Word and why. Join us as we seek God's Word together and answer respectfully and graciously.

Why are Christians often accused of being judgmental? Why is the Church filled with hypocrites? How can we deal with hypocrisy and change to be more like Jesus? How can we be people who model both grace and truth like Jesus? God's Word has much to say about this difficult subject. Let's pray for humble hearts as we learn together about this topic.

We all know we live in such a divided time. Everyone seems to be asking, "How do we have unity during such a divided time?" This is hard to answer for our culture, world and nation, but we can begin by asking "How does our church have unity during this time?" Is it even possible? Let's look at Jesus' prayer for unity and how to have it.

Hell is described as a place of fire, darkness, eternal punishment, exclusion from God's presence, restlessness, and weeping and gnashing of teeth. If God is love (1 John 4:19), why would He either allow the existence of hell or send people to hell? This is one of the most difficult questions that someone can ask. Join us as we look at what God's Word says about this sobering question.

One of the most important issues of our time is mental heath. What does the Bible say about it? How does God view mental health, and does He care about it? To help us answer these questions, Pastor Rick will be interviewing Kim Baer, a licensed counselor. Kim recently started her own counseling practice called "Soar Counseling, LLC" in Berne. We will learn about Soar Counseling as well as answers to questions concerning mental health.

I Wonder..."Why bother with Church? In other words, does it really matter if we are part of a local church? Isn't it enough if I just have a personal relationship with Jesus? And as part of this question, we may ask,"Does church membership matter?" We may have asked these questions, or we may have lots of reasons we do not like the local church--perhaps the church hurt you personally, or you think the church is filled with hypocrites. Today's message will help answer these important questions.

Jesus gave us a mission before He left this earth to "make disciples." (Matthew 28:18-20). Several in our church submitted questions asking, "How do we actually do that?" How do we actually build relationships with people, talk to people about Jesus, and help them grow in following Jesus? To help us answer that question, Pastor Rick will be interviewing Josh Hawkins, a missionary through World Partners who has a passion for making disciples. We will also hear some updates from Josh on how their ministry is going.

Andy Crouch defines culture as "what human beings make of the world.” We will explore what Jesus made of the world, how our current times are influencing culture, and how we are to live within these two cultures.
