This episode represents First Team All Nonsense's final episode of our NBA-themed era.

In doing a little reflection regarding the content and "mission" of this podcast, we came to the belief that if people are out there really looking for an NBA-exclusive podcast...well, frankly, they have other options. While we think it's been a fun & quirky approach to focus primarily on the Timberwolves, Celtics, and Pacers, the reality is that it has put us an awkward in-between space that does not cater enough to fans of any one of the three individual franchises, but probably also not broadly enough to engage the "NBA Generalist." In short, we've really been setting ourselves up to fail in terms of hoping to grow listenership substantially, over time.

At the same time, as is probably evident in the episodes to date, we really enjoy each other's company. What is really most important to us to to have a chance to get together and just chat. We also have come to sense that limiting the scope of our podcast to only (or primarily) the NBA is to limit potential new fertile grounds for random silly thoughts, obscure references, and general fun...namely that which most distinguishes First Team All Nonsense.

Excactly the form the show is going to take is still somewhat of an open question. But right now it feels like the energy is taking it more towards a "pop culture generalist" focus...with the "popular" aspect of the term "pop" applying only most loosely. Basically talking about that which we're most into, and finding connecting, revealing experiences with each other and - hopefully - our listeners.

If you have tuned into past episodes primarily for the NBA talk, thank you!! We hope that you have found enough fun and nonsense in and around the basketball to keep you with us as we explore this new direction. For those of you that have, as our general intro says, stuck around "in spite of the basektball talk," expect your eyes to glaze over less often.
