Season 5: Episode 5
What do we need to know for women's midlife care? In this episode, I dove into the mission of Deiya Health with founders, Dr. Nirshila Chand and Dr. Rajasree Nambron. I asked them about hormones and peri-menopause. Deiya Health was offering a safety net of services and resources that sought to uplift, empower, and transform the lives of women everywhere.
They were in the very early stages at the time of this recording and have since decided to cease operations of Deiya Health. For now, you will find both doctor profiles on Linkedin.
This episode was recorded in May, 2024.

Louise was born with a bicornuate uterus, which means her uterus is heart shaped. According to Cleveland Clinic, only .5% of women are born with this condition. A heart shaped uterus does not impair the ability to conceive, however a pregnancy with this shaped uterus will be considered high-risk. Louise shared that although she didn't expect to get pregnant she was ready for this all of her adult life. Listen to hear how incredible the timing was for her and what she thinks happened to make it possible.

I spoke to Anna Vlachos, a former TV Reporter in Toronto, Canada to hear her motherhood journey story. She conceived all 3 children naturally in her 40s! She didn't expect to get pregnant so easily, yet that is exactly what happened for her and she even conceived her last child while she was on birth control.
