Cha Jones lives her life with intention.  She has traveled the world and currently lives in Mexico.  She had her baby at 43 and then wrote a book called, You Can Manifest Your Dreams. In this episode, she shared how she manifested her baby to existence and what life is like for her today.

Louise was born with a bicornuate uterus, which means her uterus is heart shaped.  According to Cleveland Clinic, only .5% of women are born with this condition. A heart shaped uterus does not impair the ability to conceive, however a pregnancy with this shaped uterus will be considered high-risk.  Louise shared that although she didn't expect to get pregnant she was ready for this all of her adult life.  Listen to hear how incredible the timing was for her and what she thinks happened to make it possible.

Angie is looking for a surrogate. She has been on the journey to become a single mom by choice for the last 8 years. Her journey includes trying to get pregnant with her own eggs, attempting adoption, supporting an egg donor and 3 failed transfers.  She even had a close friend offer to be her surrogate, which also resulted in a failed transfer.  At this present time, Angie is searching for a new surrogate that can continue on this fertility/motherhood journey with her.

Sarah Howie started a blog to offer advice, inspiration and courage for women who are feeling the struggle of getting pregnant in their 30s and 40s.  In this episode, she lets us know the importance of listening to your body at all stages of life and how she went from not thinking about having children to getting pregnant naturally in her 40s. 

Sarah had pain on and off for years.  She had severe adhesions on her organs including her ovaries.  At 35, she was told by a doctor that she needed to start trying to have children, if that’s what she wanted.  Without knowing she did make it to 10 weeks pregnant which wound up as an ectopic pregnancy and affected her left tube.  Her talk with me is a good reminder to not let your busy life ignore signals that your body sends you.

Yolanda is based in Atlanta, GA and she tells us about her “never give up story”.  Her life includes the loss of her parents early in her life and she also went through a divorce. She has a successful career in clinical health and knew it would be hard to meet another spouse and have a family.  Her mindset helped her to get to where she is today.  Despite the challenges she had endured in life, she had to be happy whether she was going to have a baby or not. She touches on the importance of African Americans knowing more about their fertility early on in life. We talk about platelet rich plasma to help blood flow to the uterus. She tells women to claim their fertility regardless of how it happens.  There is no set rule! Are you happy with where you are right now?
