With gyms closing (again), I wanted to share some thoughts this week on how to look after your health and fitness.
1. Prioritise your mental health.
2. As much as possible, try to give yourself a dedicated workout "zone" - if you don't have the space then a pre workout ritual to step into your workout might help
3. Get outside - even if it's just a short 10-15 minute walk, we all feel better when we can get outdoors.
4. Do what makes you feel good, not just what you think you 'should'. Those endorphins are critical now more than ever.
We're all in a tough space and not being able to workout how we want for a bit will seem relatively minor to a lot of people who have lost loved ones or their jobs or businesses.
But for those of you for whom it's an escape, a release, a way to power yourself up for the rest of your day, I get it.
I haven't got any answers or solutions but I get it.
