Brite Idea Week 4:

Elementary: Jesus has power over everything.

Pre-K: Who is Jesus? Jesus is God’s son!

Bible Story: Mark 4-5

Memory Verse: "But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." (John 20:31)

1. HE - How is Jesus so powerful?
2. WE - Is Jesus' power scary?
3. ME - What is one thing you are thankful for? Share those things with your family and spend some time praying and thanking God for making them!

Brite Idea Week 3:

Elementary: Jesus invites us to follow him.

Pre-K: Who is Jesus? Jesus is God’s son!

Bible Story: John 1:35-51

Memory Verse: "But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." (John 20:31)

1. HE - What does it mean to follow someone?
2. WE - What does it look like to follow Jesus?
3. ME - what is one thing you want to start doing to show Jesus you want to follow him? Brainstorm as a family!

Brite Idea Week 2:

Elementary: Jesus is God’s son.

2. WE - How is Jesus like us?
3. ME - How can you trust God this week?

Bible Story: Matthew 3:1–12; Luke 3:1–18

1. HE - We know that God sent us Jesus to save us and help us. What does this tell us about how God feels about us?
2. WE - How can you put Jesus first?
3. ME - John was someone who pointed other people toward Jesus. How can you show someone Jesus this week?

Brite Idea Week 3: 

Elementary: The promised savior was born.

Pre-K: Is God faithful in keeping His promises? Yes, God is.

Bible Story: Luke 2:1-21

Memory Verse:  “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

1. HE - How do you feel knowing God loves you? 
2. WE - What can we do to show our love for God?
3. ME - Think about how much God loves you today. As a family, brainstorm some ways to show that love to others this week.

Brite Idea Week 2: 

Elementary: Jesus is the Messiah

Pre-K: Is God faithful in keeping His promises? Yes, God is.

Bible Story: Matthew 1:18-25

Memory Verse:  “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

1. HE -what do you think it says about Jesus that he is our rescuer? How does that make you feel?
2. WE -  Describe what that means when someone is "with you".
3. ME - What is one thing you can do this week to show your gratitude to Jesus for being our rescuer who is with us?

Brite Idea Week 1:

Pre-K: Is God faithful in keeping His promises? Yes, God is.

Bible Story: Micah 5:1-5

Memory Verse:  “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

1. HE - How does it feel knowing that you can trust Jesus?
2. WE - Why does it matter that Jesus is the king forever?
3. ME - What does it mean to trust someone or something?

Brite Idea Week 5: 

Elementary: God has a plan. 

Pre-K: Is anyone or anything wiser than God? No!

Bible Story: Esther 2-8

Memory Verse:  "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

1. HE - How can God have a plan for everything?
2. WE - How do you feel that God has a purpose for you?
3. ME - How can you trust God this week?

Brite Idea Week 4: 

Elementary: God is working even when we don’t see it. 

Pre-K: Is anyone or anything wiser than God? No!

Bible Story: 2 Kings 6:8-23

Memory Verse:  "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

1. HE - How have you seen God working things out for good in the bible?
2. WE - What does it mean for us to trust God now?
3. ME - How can you pray for patience and trust this week?

Brite Idea Week 2: 

Elementary: God is Present.

Pre-K: Is anyone or anything wiser than God? No!

Bible Story: 1 Kings 5-8

Memory Verse:  "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

1. HE -What do you think it means with God is with us even if we don't see him?
2. WE - What does it mean to be present?
3. ME - Part of building a relationship with God is through prayer. What do you want to pray to God about this week?
