Fixed Yer Movie

Welcome to 90's month! For the next 4 movies we will be fixing the movies of the 1990's, a decade that hardly produced any billion dollar movies at all! Every movie we've seen from that decade has been crummy but we've finally found one that had the right mindset: 1998's YOU'VE GOT MAIL.

The title of the movie is a tie-in to AOL! Starbucks is given SIGNIFICANT screen time! And yet this movie didn't get everything right, which is why it only made a quarter of a billion dollars and left 3 quarters of a billion on the table.

We add some humor beats, drama beats beats and we fix this movie's rock-bottom BHI but you'll have to tune in to hear how!!

This week the fixers Nate and David come together to fix a movie that doesn't need fixing, a movie that they worked on and were incredibly proud of: CATS (2019). One of the best musicals ever made, and yet it didn't hit a bil? Why? What could we have done differently? It wasn't easy, but we FIXED IT and made it a TRUE billion dollar movie!

Black Widow is the movie that almost tore this podcast apart. Fixers Nate and David set aside their personal interest in this movie (and the lawsuits surrounding it) and make an honest fix for Black Widow, the rare Marvel Studio film that even needed our help!

How did we bring this movie to a billion? Tune in to find out!

In our last entry for Kids Month we find yet another kids movie that isn't even for kids. This is a high school movie without dances, makeovers or Big Games, so what the heck is the point of it? Despite us finding the movie to be objectively crummy we do actually find a lot to like, especially the directed Todd "6.25 Multiplier" Solonz. Do we manage to get the movie to a billion? Tune in to find out!

POKÉMON: AGENT PIKACHU is a movie that we didn't understand but we LOVED! This movie both turned us on and inspired our love despite this only making under half a billion. Are our ideas able to grab up the money that this movie left on the table? Tune in to find out!

You'd think the "Best Reviewed Movie of All Time" wouldn't need much fixing, but sadly you'd be wrong.  We tackle the beloved, by who we're not sure, Paddington II for our second week of KIDS MONTH.

Fortunately the Fixers are up to the task, but can they convince the studio to strive for something better for our little bear friend?  Tune in to find out our Billion Dollar secrets

We are kicking off 4 episodes in a row where we delve into kids movies. We decided to start out with an obvious one, 1995's Kids!

This movie does not have Billion Dollar Mindset and needed a LOT of tweaking from us, but we still saw some potential there.

Tune in to hear how we morphed KIDS into a billion dollar franchise.

In this episode we try and fix a movie by 9 time loser QT aka Quentin Tarantino, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Even though this movie looks all old-timey and boring, there actually are some good humor beats and violence beats (and a good mix of the two!) Still, we had a long way to go before Hittin' A Bil. Did we do it?

We try our hardest not to get emotional as we cover not only the best movie we've watched for this podcast, but one of the best movies ever made. The branding, the tie-in's, the PROPERTIES! It's all there! This movie is so good it makes a classic like Sonic The Hedgehog look like some crap like Nomadland! Was there even anything to fix? Tune in to find out!

In our first episode covering an animated movie, we try and take Disney's SOUL to a Billion. Disney knows what they are doing, unfortunately they made the mistake of bringing on Pixar a company that doesn't have a clue! You need a Harvard degree to understand this confusing movie! Were we able to fix Soul and turn it into a billion dollar movie? Tune in to find out!
