D.C. has the fourth highest fetal mortality rate in the US. And while it’s mostly Black babies who are dying in the District, it’s an issue that says a lot about how resources and care are allotted in the city. Journalist Candace Montague has been talking to parents who lost children about their experiences and what can be done.
