Welcome to Film Logic. A movie podcast celebrating the past, present, and future with all the fandoms in between. We are part of the Retrologic Network with other classic podcasts like Retrologic, On Topic Retro, and Retro Groove. I am Mike and I am with my cohost…
Eston- the snowman who wants a Fedora for a change
Tim- the reindeer who will guide Santa to his own house
Mikey Burgett- The new standard for the naughty list
Instead of the icebreaker we discuss the Christmas movie tournament. What surprised you? What failed? What passed? The civil war. The threats.
New Christmas game:
Hallmark or Failmark: a game where you have to guess if I am making up a Christmas hallmark movie or telling you a real one.
Spotlight: Muppet’s Christmas Carol
Mike: I sang some of these songs in 5th grade chorus
Mike Submitted Question:
What makes this movie timeless?
What beloved property from the 80s/90s would you remake into A Christmas Carol-style film/TV show?
If we had to remake this movie as a modern day Christmas Carol with muppets what would it look like.

What is everyone watching
Mike- One of us is lying, Weird Al, Peripheral, Rifftrax, Bradley Williams Pitt reached out!!
Eston- NOPE, Moonfall, All Is Quiet on the Western Front
Tim- Black Panther, Black Panther Wakanda Forever, and Weird Al
We are playing a new game today! I have a game called Forrest Stumped (working title and copyright) where we have to guess movies based on three clues. Actor, Director, and One Quote.
Example:
Matthew Broderick, John Hughes, “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once and a while, you could miss it”
To make things interesting. Points are rewarded on difficulty. Every question will have a difficulty rating based on general knowledge. A movie like Star Wars would be an easy 1 point question, while a deep art house movie made in France that only Solo has seen would be a 5 point difficulty.
Discussion around The Incredibles
A quick rundown about actors, directors, and plot
Tim's question:
The Incredibles came out in 2004, and The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man came out in 2008. What kind of impact do we think The Incredibles had on hero films since its successful release?
Hot take: The super hero world building is not nearly as important as the family values in this film.
The Incredibles Live Action. Who would play who (assuming they would need to recast everyone)
Director: Russo Brothers? Mike Mitchell? Daniel Kwan, Daniel Scheinert?
Suggestions: Channing Tatum, Tom Holland, Jason Mamoa, Sandra Bullock, Helen Hunt, Jennifer Garner, Asher Angel, Victoria Jackson, Tony Revoloria, Alfred Molina, Miranda Cosgrove, Dave Bautista, Kevin Hart,
