Spring has sprung, dear listeners, and the boys of Flame ON! have traveled back to late 2022 for a deep dive into a film that deserves some microsode love! Join Pat, BeeJay, and Erik as they travel back to the home of T'Challa, Shuri, and more as they chat about Black Panther Wakanda Forever. The 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe celebrates the life of the late King T'Challa (and his portrayer, actor Chadwick Boseman) and shows how grieving impacts not just those you are related to. The film also showcases the on-screen debuts of Namor and tech prodigy, and soon to be star of the Disney+ series Ironheart, RiRi Williams. We're also given a deeper glimpse into how entangled a certain Contessa is within the MCU and how far she'll go to get what she wants. Did the film live up to its predecessor? What wild speculation do the boys have coming out of this film (and what has been possibly debunked by subsequent films)? Listen in to find out!

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you found yourself in a Scottish castle? Would you be a faithful, or would an animatronic doll try to hunt you down? Well, M3gan doesn't like traitors, so you might want to run and hide... unless you want to be consumed by the white noise!

The page on the calendar has changed and we are welcoming a new year of pop culture conversation at Flame ON! studios! The boys have entered their own version of the Werk Room to chit and chat about some pop culture goodness that they want to share with you! Erik is the first at bat this month and he's ready to rave about the brand new video game adaptation that has landed on HBO and HBO Max, The Last of Us. Does the live action counterpart live up to the video game hype? So far so good! After that, Bryan is next up and shares his thoughts on the 2022 Greta Gerwig and Adam Driver led Netflix film, White Noise. Did it resonate the first time around, or does it get better with repeated viewings? Listen in to find out! After a quick break for station identification, BeeJay picks the conversation back up and shares his excitement for the new horror comedy, M3GAN, the android toy that has taken the (gay) world by storm! Get ready for a BULLETPROOF review of a highly anticipated film! The final topic is in Pat's hands and he's ready to chat about the new reality game show, The Traitors now streaming on Peacock! A mix of The Mole and The Challenge (amongst others), this show is coming so highly recommended that Pat is doing this section SPOILER FREE! Did you watch, sound off in the comments and let us know! Before signing off, the boys all share their choices for 1-UPs AKA the things that are giving them life!

Like Miss Jackson (cuz we're nasty) said, it is the pleasure principle, oh oh, and that's what you're getting in this episode! Whether it's upcoming superhero movies and television, music, or some good old-fashioned live theater, these pop culture moments are tickling the fancy of our fancy-footed hosts!

The ball has dropped, the new year's resolutions have been made (and some have most likely been dropped), and the boys are back at the round table for their first discussion of 2023! As a counter-conversation to their last discussion as a group in 2022, the boys are making some predictions about the year in pop culture choosing their top five picks for content that they believe will give them pleasure (not pleasure them... get your mind out of the gutter!) and will hopefully make their year-end best-of lists! Bryan brings a mixture of live music along with the Dune nerdiness that you've come to expect while BeeJay is ready to ring in the new year with M3GAN shenanigans, video games, and of course The Marvels. On the other side of the table, Erik crosses his Bridgerton into the woods where he finds a Cocaine Bear and hopes that it's not The Last Of Us during his rounds. Well, of course, there's more, but that was the best sentence we could come up with and we hope you enjoyed it! Pat also talks music, his excitement for deep friends of the pod The Golden Gals (Ginger Minj, Gidget Galore, Divine Grace, and MRMS Adrien) and their month-long residency at The Mercury Theater in Chicago (get your tickets here), and much more! This year is shaping up to be full of amazing pop culture, so check out what the boys are looking forward to and share your picks in the comments!

Vroom, vroom! The engines are warming up and a new gaggle of Drag Queens are ready to shantay into the Werk Room for the newest season of RuPaul's Drag Race on its soon to be new home network of MTV! Grab those cha cha heels you got for Christmas and get ready to to dish the dirt and remember, don't be shady, be a lady!

Hello dear listeners! The ball is getting ready to drop and before we say goodbye to the year that was 2022, our dear hosts have one more installment ready for you! RuPaul has brought together the largest cast for the landmark fifteenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race as it speeds over to its new home network of MTV and it wouldn't be a season of Drag Race if our boys didn't dish the dirt and share their thoughts on the new cast of outrageous characters the will grace our screens for the next four months. Joining Pat on this episode is his Council of James' in the form of Bryan (first name James), and special guest hosts James and Jamie (short, er same length, for James) who have shared their thoughts on previous Drag is the New Spandex episodes. Before diving into the cast proper, the boys share their thoughts on the network switch, the refresh and call back to Drag Race's humble beginnings (who wouldn't love to see the S1 filter or hear Jonny McGovern say, RuPaul, why you so muthafuckin blurry??), the amped up prize money, and some of the guest judges they are excited to see on the panel this year. From there they break down the overall promo and point out a few of the queens that caught their eye before giving their wildly speculative top 3 queens... and no, it can't just be Sasha Colby three times no matter how amazing that would be!

Grab your wig and heels, 'cause we're bringing you another fabulous episode of Drag is the New Spandex!
